Rihanna and her Saudi billionaire boyfriend, Hassan Jameel, split back in January after three years and now, she has a fresh new attitude since then and after turning 32 last month. She recently spoke to British Vogue and she realizes how short life is and that people shouldn’t tolerate so much negativity.
“Since I turned 32, I’m realizing life is really short. “You don’t have a lot of time to tolerate sh*t, you know? You put so much on your plate. When you’re overwhelmed, you need to start cutting things out. And I’m overwhelmed too much. What’s happening now is that I’m going back to black and white. My grey area is shutting down.”
Rihanna also isn’t focusing on getting back into the dating scene at the moment as she’s in full-on grind mode so she will be able to relax a bit in the future. She noted that she’d like to have three or four children, even if she’s not with someone at the time.
“I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong…’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives. But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child. That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love.”
Rih also told Vogue that she goes back and forth now between London, Paris, Mexico, and her home country of Barbados. She feels her most creative in London, most fashionable in Paris, closest to her family in Barbados, and feels the most relaxed in Mexico.
“I just love Mexico. I really need to do my DNA test,” Rihanna said. She jokingly said that she may have been Mexican in her past life, may have been an agave plant, and that right now, she enjoys tequila.
As far as Rihanna’s music, fans have anxiously been waiting for her to release her ninth studio album. It’s rumored to be titled ‘R9’and she said it may be released at any time but won’t give any other clues.
“I can’t say when I’m going to drop. But I am very aggressively working on music. I don’t want my albums to feel like themes. There are no rules. There’s no format. There’s just good music, and if I feel it, I’m putting it out.”
It’s been over four years since Rihanna has released an album as the previous one was ‘Anti’ in January of 2016. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and has since been certified 3x platinum by the RIAA. It was led by the singles “Work” featuring Drake, “Needed Me,” “Kiss It Better,” and “Love On The Brain.”
Rih did finally give fans some new material last Friday though as she appeared on PartyNextDoor‘s “Believe Me” single which is on his new ‘PartyMobile’ album. It’s great to see that she’s doing felt following the end of her relationship with Jameel and continues to build her empire with her Fenty Beauty makeup line along with her Savage X Fenty lingerie line. Hopefully, we get the ninth album soon as well.
