Amber Heard cut a lonesome figure as she sat by her bed "note-taking" with wine this weekend. The 33-year-old actress and ex to Johnny Depp was likely referring to her quarantine situation on account of the novel coronavirus as she updated her Instagram – it's been mentioned before – but the "Aquaman" star now finds herself front-page news as her dragged-out divorce drama sees her lose a point in the war.

Amber lost her appeal to have 56-year-old Depp's $50 million defamation lawsuit against her dropped at the end of March. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor is suing his ex-wife for alluding that she was a victim of domestic violence at his hands – leaked audio from 2015 then made global headlines earlier this year as Amber confessed to "hitting" Johnny with pots and pans.

Amber's Saturday Instagram update showed her late at night and in an old-fashioned bedroom with Renaissance-style furnishings and a bedside table – the blonde had been photographed seated at it and shooting the camera a direct gaze as she appeared to ponder.

There was an alcohol injection as Amber was seen with a half-empty bottle of red wine and a glass, with the "Justice League" actress simply dressed as she wore a white shirt and loose-flowing long black skirt.

"Wine tasting a note taking, the solitary sport of champions," she captioned the shot.

Judge Dismisses Her Appeal To Scrap $50 Million Defamation Lawsuit

As The Daily Mail reports, a judge "rejected her motion to dismiss on the grounds that three of the four sentences the Pirates of the Caribbean star complained about could “convey the alleged defamatory meaning that Mr Depp abused Ms Heard.”’

A Fairfax County Chief Judge wrote: "Defendant’s Demurrer is sustained as to the fourth statement listed above, but it is overruled as to the other three statements."

The former couple split in 2016 with an agreed $7 million settlement. Their headline-making continues, however, even seeing Amber wind up front-page news as surveillance tapes from Johnny's private elevator showed her cozying up to ex Elon Musk while in a towel and swimsuit – no date was provided, though.

Said Nobody Would Ever Believe Johnny Was A Victim Of Domestic Violence

The extensive leaked audio from a Depp/Heard cell call back in 2015 both saw the actress confess to being physically violent towards her ex and suggest that nobody would ever believe he was a victim of domestic violence.

"Do you know I'm a 115, well not anymore, but I was a 115 lb almost 115 lb woman...have I ever been able to knock you off of your feet? Or knock you off balance?" she said, adding:

"You're going to get up on the stand, Johnny, and say, 'she started it'? Really? I have never been able to overpower you that's the difference between me and you...and that's a difference, that's a whole world, and there's a jury and there's a judge will see that there's a very big difference between me and you."

Trashed By Own Instagram Fans, Disables Comments

Amber has taken action on her Instagram after an explosive response following the audio saw her trashed by her own followers. The blonde has disabled or limited comments to all of her posts – the bedside wine shot did, however, rack up likes, currently sitting at over 102,000.

Amber has also made headlines for posting a no-pants driving photo as she joked that she was "on my way to steal your toilet paper" – this, likely referring to the shortage of essential supplies as coronavirus panic buyers empty store shelves.

Depp's defamation lawsuit stems from the actress' 2018 Op-Ed in The Washington Post. No names were mentioned as Amber stated being a victim of domestic violence, but it's largely accepted that she was hinting at Johnny.
