Ariel Winter braved the grocery store crowds this weekend. The “Modern Family” actress has been updating her social media from her quarantine home location, although this 22-year-old isn’t getting other people to deliver her groceries. Ariel was photographed on a Sunday outing in L.A. as she filled up her cart – the sitcom star may have gone very skimpy with outfit, but precautions amid the novel coronavirus has been taken.
Ariel was spotted at a Gelson’s Market in Los Angeles. The look 100% said: “COVID-19.”
Photos – seen below – obtained by The Daily Mail showed the star looking determined as she headed into the store. The former brunette (now returned to redhead) was showing off the 30 pounds she’s dropped in a low-key but leggy wardrobe, seen wearing a super-baggy gray hoodie that just about covered a minuscule pair of shorts underneath.
With her Ugg boots on and both hands free to push a cart eventually seen overflowing with purchases, Ariel also wore a blue vinyl pair of gloves, plus a precautionary face mask strapped around her.
Ariel has been keeping Instagram updated on her life amid coronavirus. While the star’s stories largely stick to memes expressing boredom, permanent posts have been showing the ABC face’s 4.3 million followers how she’s passing the time.
A recent update went down the humorous route as Ariel was seen rocking yoga pants and a crop top from her kitchen while energetically whacking a cardboard cut-out of her own head – using a baseball bat.
“quarantine cleaning really unearths things you hate as well as great ideas for entertainment,” she wrote.

Prior to headlines being dominated by the global pandemic, Ariel made headlines both for the sitcom she stars on ending, plus the way in which she marked 11 years of “Modern Family” wrapping up. The girl behind Alex Dunphy returned to her stawberry-blonde locks, even dubbing her look as “strawberry and shortcake” before taking suggestions for nicknames.
Ariel further made headlines as she attended a wrap-up party with co-stars including Sarah Hyland and Nolan Gould – she fronted media outlets on account of being slammed, though, with her sheer and underwear- style dress being dubbed a fail. Hyland backed the star up, though.
Ariel took to Instagram on February 22 with her final trailer snap from the “Modern Family” set. The simple selfie showing the star outside a trailer with her Alex name currently sits at over 206,000 likes – it also brought fans to tears.
“In just a few hours we will series wrap on @abcmodernfam, and along with everything else, I will be saying goodbye to the trailer I have had for almost a decade. Goodbye trailer! Goodbye Alex plaque! ? #modernfamily #memories #family #farewell,” Ariel captioned the image.
