Things are really changing for Kourtney Kardashian.
Fans who’ve watched “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” over the years would be aware of how Kourt previously said that she didn’t see marriage in her future – this was around the time she was still with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
Even on the reality show, when the former couple would discuss the idea of getting married, Kourtney made it no secret that she didn’t see herself tying the knot – at least not with Scott.
In 2011, for example, when Scott proposed to Kourtney, she turned him down before going on to tell Jimmy Kimmel a few months later that she’d been dealing with “commitment issues.”
Kourtney has also previously mentioned that witnessing her parents Kris Jenner and the late Robert Kardashian going through their bitter divorce made her question whether she would ever have to go through that with Scott if the relationship was no longer working out for either of them.
So it’s interesting that in her recent interview with Jason Kennedy on E!’s “In The Room,” the mother-of-three now says she’s open to getting married when she does meet the right guy, but Kourtney isn’t rushing into things by any means.
“I feel like I’m really content, but I think if it was the right situation, I think [marriage is] something that I would want,” she told Jason. “But, I don’t feel like it’s missing.”
The 40-year-old also dished about her initial fear of turning 40. Last year, in an episode of “KUWTK,” Kourtney had confided in her sister Khloe about her upcoming birthday and it has made her reflect on life.
During her conversation with Jason, she continued: “There was this pressure, I think of where you think you’re supposed to be at a certain age. I think, for some reason, 40 for me really made me analyze my life. And I just felt really overwhelmed.”
And while fans are happy to hear that Kourtney is returning for another series of the family’s reality show, she’s already made it perfectly clear that she won’t be sharing anything that’s concerning her love life.
Last year, her sisters Kim and Khloe pressured Kourtney as to why she was keeping secrets from them amid reports claiming she had reconciled with her ex-boyfriend Younes Bendjima. The Poosh founder refused to speak on the matter, leading Kim to discuss with their momager on the idea of kicking Kourtney off the show.
In her confessional, Kim stressed: “I kind of feel like an a**hole following Kourtney, but early on we all made a pact to share our lives. That’s our job.
“Kourt spends a lot of time off-camera and won’t talk about her relationship, but you’ll see paparazzi photos of her and her guy.”
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” kicked off its 18th run with an explosive premiere episode on March 26. The family reality show continues every Thursday on the E! network.
