Are you happy? Are you free? Are you confused? Are you lonely? Are you all of these things at the same time?

If you answered "yes" to one or more of the above, it's possible you're in the right place.

It's miserable and magical out there rn (heavy on the miserable) - so in a state of affairs that is forcing us to stay connected virtually, we hope you are able to connect to some of these strikingly situational Taylor Swift lyrics.

Ok, this one's actually not a lyric. However, we vividly remember thinking it was back when "Blank Space" dropped with 1989 but never told a soul for fear of being ridiculed. As Taylor probably would've said to us, "'I Wish You Would'" have said something - turns out our individual mishap was common misconception.

"Sending my love to all the lonely Starbucks lovers out there this Valentine's Day," Swift tweeted on the 2015 holiday. "Even though that is not the correct lyric."

The coffee giant itself was surprised, too: "Wait, it's not?"

WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT: Have you considered where you'll go work remotely if your home internet goes down? That's right, you can't. Because everywhere is closed, included Starbucks. You are now a lonely Starbucks lover.

"I ask the traffic lights if it'll be alright, they say 'I don't know'"

You might think - out of everyone in the celebriverse we figured would mentally succumb to the strains of their isolation - Taylor Swift would be the last on our list. However, you would be wrong. We've actually been a little worried about sis since we heard this line from "Death by a Thousand Cuts" and really just hope she has a good support system in place.

Have you, too, started talking to inanimate objects, including traffic lights? If so, you are not alone.

"Are we out of the woods yet, are we out of the woods yet..."

"Are we out of the woods yet? Are we out of the woods?"

No, we are not out the woods. We came to this conclusion by answering the secondary question proposed in the second half of the hook:

"Are we in the clear yet, are we in the clear yet, are we in the clear yet, in the clear yet, good!"

With the slight change that it is NOT good, because we are not, in fact, in the clear yet, and we are not, therefore, out of the woods yet. So stop asking.

"Welcome to New York"

"It's been waiting for you."

...has it really, though?

Because based on recent developments of possible military interference to enforce ultra-strict quarantine guidelines, we are almost positive The Big Apple ain't waiting on nobody. Furthermore, we will proceed to call 311 if we see her "walkin' through a crowd" because "the village is aglow."

We're considering asking Tay Tay to rephrase this line into something more reflective and past tense - you know, like, "it was waiting for you." Leave us a comment if you're an attorney as we'd like to pick your brain about future royalty splits.

“I’m perfectly fine; I live on my own"

"I made up my mind — I’m better off being alone.”

REAL TALK: Even though "King of My Heart" is one of 15 bangers off the reputation record, how many of us are actually saying this now that we're headed into our second month of forced isolation?

Don't get it twisted; we think social distancing is every introvert's dream. In fact, we shared in a recent Facebook that we're not sure what took the rest of the world so long - we've been social distancing for like, eight years.

"Honey, life is just a classroom"

NASHVILLE, TN - OCTOBER 12: Singer Taylor Swift officially opens the Taylor Swift Education Center at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on October 12, 2013 in Nashville, Tennessee. Seven-time GRAMMY winner Swift's $4 million gift to endow the center is the largest individual artist gift in the Hall of Fame's history.

It's like she's known all along that orange distance learning is the new black. We're also noticing a trend here that over half of the references on this list are from the 1989 album.

This has to mean shapeshifter Swift has either known about the pandemic since 1989 came out in 2014, or she's known about the pandemic since she was born in 1989 and didn't realize it until 2014.

Regardless - why didn't she TELL anyone at any point between, say, the last 6-to-30 years of her life? Honestly, Taylor. A little heads up would've been nice.

"You understand now why they lost their minds and fought the wars"

This is actually a very thoughtful phrase and we're not trying to make light of it. What we are trying to do is shed light on this:

While we actually don't know "why they lost their minds and fought the wars," we DO know that it wasn't so y'all millennials could run amuck around NYC - the very city that Taylor WELCOMED you to - because you think the rules don't apply to you. Now the "they" that "fought the wars" have to come and babysit you.

In conclusion, YOU are the ones that have lost your minds.
