Chelsea Houska has 100% acknowledged that things are a little crazy right now. The “Teen Mom 2” star’s weekend Instagram stories kept the fashion displays going, but Chelsea opened by saying that actually putting on makeup for the first time in ages felt “good”.
COVID-19 is currently seeing Chelsea social distancing with her family. Social media content has focused almost entirely on children Aubree, Watson, and Layne as the MTV face quarantines with husband Cole DeBoer. Saturday brought a little something different, though, with Chelsea showcasing new merch from the Lauribelles clothing brand she has a partnership with.
Chelsea opened her stories in selfie mode and close up as she rocked an olive green tee. The star announced being “so excited” for a new drop from Lily & Lottie – the branch of Lauribelles all ties in with Chelsea’s ongoing gig with the brand.
Chelsea then switched to a look-book “try-on haul,” with images showcasing a variety of outfits including a super-cute acid-wash dungaree outfit in denim. Chelsea’s rock-hard, post-baby legs were on show as she stood in her wood-floored bedroom – an adorable ruffled and off-the-shoulder shirt in white upped the “Sound of Music” vibe as Chelsea posed with her bombshell fiery locks down.
Chelsea then switched to a summery outfit showing off the distressed olive tee. The star appeared in a tiny frayed pair of denim shorts paired with black cowboy boots.
COVID-19 was definitely mentioned, though.
“I definitely don’t have the nice, like, background and setup,” Chelsea began, explaining that what’s usually shot “in the store” was being done from her home. With her trademark hat and killer legs on show, though, the star was 100% nailing the influencing. Chelsea also stressed that these were “uncertain times” – today’s videos really were to try and bring things back to normal.
Chelsea has been making headlines for her collaboration with Lauribelles. Earlier this year, a restock of the popular camo cowls retailed by the site sold out the day they were replenished: “Guacamole poop” was all Chelsea could say from her car as she both expressed her disbelief at the sales and adorably quoted son Watson’s vocabulary.
Not all promos from Chelsea go well, though. The star has faced backlash for including eldest daughter Aubree in a MyKitsch hair ad, also raising a few eyebrows for her weight-loss promos with Profile Sanford.
One thing is clear, though. With 5.7 million Instagram followers, Chelsea is by far the most popular “Teen Mom” member on the platform. Chelsea’s posts aren’t that frequent, but when they land, they’re popular.
Meanwhile, former “Teen Mom OG” star Farrah Abraham has made headlines for losing another 70,000 followers this year. Also having a hard time has been “Teen Mom 2” co-star Kailyn Lowry – the blonde’s fourth pregnancy has seen her slammed, although Kailyn stands up for herself.
