Kenya Moore and Marc Daly were the surprise relationship no one saw coming. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star and the business man met, got engaged and married relatively quickly, sharing the photos of their private destination wedding exclusively with People magazine in 2017. The whirlwind romance also proved to be a whirlwind marriage as the two announced they’d be becoming parents rather quickly and Moore gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Brooklyn in 2018. However, what seemed like a happy and in love couple proved to that appearances can be deceiving.
Moore filed for a divorce from Daly after a little over two years of marriage late last year, following a fall-out during an event that recently aired on the current season of her popular reality series RHOA, which is currently in its 12th season. However, earlier this year, the former couple were spotted out and about holding hands and many fans speculated that the relationship hasn’t run its course.
In addition to that, Moore has also publicly said that she was still in love with Daly, suggesting that there might be hope for a resolution before a dissolution.
A source revealed to HollywoodLife.com that a reconciliation could very well be in their future. A healthy, effective co-parenting relationship for the sake of their daughter Brooklyn reigns supreme as the priority for both parties though.
“Kenya and Marc are really working hard to co-parent. She’s allowing him to see Brooklyn a lot which he has been doing. They’re trying to work on their relationship, not necessarily for the sake of getting back together, but for the sake of co-parenting and Brooklyn,” the source began.
“It’s looking more likely than not that they’ll get back together romantically but they are communicating better than they did even a few months ago,” the source continued. “Kenya really is encouraging Marc to have the best relationship he can for their daughter but romantically, it doesn’t seem to be in the cards right now.”
Regardless, Daly and Moore have a lot of issues to work through, that’s for sure. The bulk of their issues have played out in front of viewers’ eyes during this season of her hit Bravo reality show.
The two fight for control, there is a lack of compromise, and respect. Those issues came to a head during the episode where Daly hosted a charity event for Black Man Lab. Moore was instrumental in the planning and the overall success of said event but Daly didn’t acknowledge her efforts or publicly show appreciation to his wife. He was even heard saying he hated being married.
During a recap of the episode, Moore’s bestie and co-star on RHOA, Cynthia Bailey told the cameras how she felt about Daly’s lack of appreciation for her friend that day. “I’m not saying that he intentionally set out to not thank her, I just thought it was just really in poor taste that he didn’t.”
Bailey continued, “I’ve seen all sides to Marc. I’ve seen Marc where he’s amazing … and then I’ve seen other sides where I don’t get it. He’s not that nice.”
Days later, Moore filed for a divorce. In an episode that will air later this season, Moore admited that she no longer allows Daly to stay with her when he’s in Atlanta visiting their daughter.
“It’s just a lot of things I felt I was in the dark about…I just don’t know how to even make the visitation work,” she confessed in the revealing clip. “I don’t want him to stay here,” she added.
