Jake Gyllenhaal‘s relationship with Taylor Swift has long ended, and frankly, it was way too short for it to be deemed serious. But with Taylor Swift releasing her directorial debut video that’s 14-minutes+ long, and mentioning “that red scarf” pretty clearly, fans are raising their eyebrows at Gyllenhaal.
But he’s up and moving, minus the scarf, although Taylor Swift has made sure her arrow hits the target, and done a pretty cool job of it. All too well, actually.

The three-month romance between Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal happened a long time back, in 2010, when Swift was 20 and Gyllenhaal, 29. Neither party spoke much about each other at the time, though Taylor’s album “Red” that was released two years later clearly had songs about the “Guilty” actor.
The song “All Too Well” and “Mr. Perfectly Fine” had mentions of “casually cruel” and fans felt both referenced Gyllenhaal. and now, the rumors are back, bigger than ever, because of Swift’s directorial debut. Its an almost 15-minute video of the relationship between a young woman and an older man, played ably by Sadie Sink, 19, and Dylan O’Brien, 30 to the song, “All Too Well”. And Sink and O’Brien are dead ringers for Swift and Gyllenhaal at the time.
Fans Are Finding Gyllenhaal “Guilty”

The 14-minute song video was released on November 12, 2021, and fans were busy commenting on Gyllenhaal’s Instagram. Wrote one, “I love you but I’m so sorry for the person I’m about to become on Nov 12” while another commented, “Jake must be in the basement crying for not returning the scarf.”
Another fan commented, “you should turn your comments off before midnight bestie”. One Instagram user summed it correctly, writing, “it’s a bad week to be Jake Gyllenhaal.”
But He’s Up And About

But Gyllenhaal is not hiding. In fact, the 40-year-old Donnie Darko star stepped out in LA to support his sister, Maggie Gyllenhaal. He attended the Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards for Maggie on November 13, who won the breakthrough director award for her directorial debut, “The Lost Daughter”. He also presented an award to the sound editors of his Netflix movie, “The Guilty”.
And no, the red scarf was nowhere in sight as he donned a pink shirt, yellow trousers, and a blue blazer. Here’s more on Gyllenhaal’s “The Guilty”.
