Like Tom Hanks and Idris Elba, Prince Charles has tested positive for the Coronavirus. Reports say the Prince of Wales' symptoms have been mild so far and he has not been in need of hospital care. Prince Charles' wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, has also received the test. Her results were negative.

After announcing his positive diagnosis, people tried to determine where Charles could have gotten the virus from. Some pointed to Prince Albert II of Monaco, who has also tested positive for COVID-19.

People are understandably worried about Prince Charles and his health. While sources have said his condition has been mild, many worry that it could worsen quickly, as the prince is 71, putting him in one of the most susceptible demographics for severe cases.

Despite these fears, the public was still upset with Charles after his diagnosis. The prince reportedly traveled to Scotland to put himself under quarantine. People are upset with this decision, fearing that the virus could have spread while traveling and believing that Charles should have sheltered in place, instead.

Prince Charles isn't the only royal to upset their fans in the midst of this global pandemic. His son, Prince William, was accused of being out of touch when he made jokes about COVID-19 while on his first official visit to Ireland.

William implied that people were exaggerating their symptoms and assuming that a normal cough was the virus. He then said that he and Kate Middleton had to be careful not to spread the virus around to people they came in contact with and promised to stop spreading it if asked.

Before Prince Charles' diagnosis, the royal family had already begun taking precautions against the COVID-19 virus. Queen Elizabeth II canceled events that she was meant to appear at but did continue to see guests in her home for some time.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the United Kingdom after moving to Canada to create a more normal life for themselves. They reunited with the royals for the Commonwealth Day celebration but left baby Archie Harrison at home over fears of the virus.
