Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dropped a bombshell on the world -- and the royal family -- when they announced their intention to step down as senior members of the royal family.

While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hoped to end their time as working royals, they promised to continue to honor their charities and patronages. But insisted on spending half their time in North America to allow baby Archie Harrison a chance at a normal life outside of the palace.

Critics of the duchess accused of her being the mastermind behind the couple's exit. They claimed that Meghan was trying to run back to Hollywood to reignite her acting career and couldn't while still working as a royal.

Insiders in the industry did admit that Duchess Meghan could have her pick of roles if she decided to return to acting. But they admitted that the logistics of providing security guards for the Duchess of Sussex would be quite a nightmare.

While some thought Meghan would want to return to Tinsel Town right away, other sources maintained that the duchess would not be back in the United States for as long as Donald Trump were president.

Meghan famously said she would leave the US if Trump won the election in 2016. She and Prince Harry also chose to sit out his meeting with the queen in the UK. When asked about this, Trump responded that he didn't know the Duchess of Sussex was "nasty".

Sources now say that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan packed up little Archie and have moved to a new home in Los Angeles. Reports indicate this move would put them closer to Meghan's mother, as she lives in the area.

Reports recently indicated that Harry and Meghan would remain in Vancouver until the global COVID-19 pandemic calmed down. Sources now claim that the Sussexes are remaining in isolation inside a "secluded compound" and that they have yet to attempt going outside their new home.

Harry and Meghan were originally supposed to bring Master Archie with them when the returned to the United Kingdom earlier this month for the Commonwealth Day celebrations. They chose to leave their son in Canada due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

While some royal experts and commentators were upset by this decision, the rest of the royal family seems to have come to an understanding. Royals -- including the queen -- have been canceling events in an attempt to honor social distancing and Prince Charles has tested positive for the virus.
