Who’s bold, confident, and unapologetically walks in her truth at all times? Hint: She’s the newest co-star in the talk show Strahan, Sara and Keke. Her name is Keke Palmer and she’s an actress/singer who does all of the things.
She’s also known for her vivacious personality that she often wears on her sleeve, much to the love and adoration from her millions of social media followers. That being said, Keke Palmer isn’t known to keep much under wraps, aside from her love life.
As Palmer’s popularity goes up, questions about her love life and who she’s seeing also increases. Inquiring minds want to know who is Keke Palmer dating? And Palmer has adopted the mantra of everything being par for the course except for what’s going on in her world romantically.
The questions popped up during a recent visit to Seth Meyers’ late night show as well as during an interview with Harper’s BAZAAR. Here’s what the entertainer had to say on the matter.
Palmer might be the host of a rebooted dating show for Quibi called Singled Out, but in her interview with Harper’s BAZAAR as the mag’s cover story, Palmer gave no confirmation about who she was or wasn’t dating. However, she did provide some insight on who she absolutely would never date.
The 26-year-old actress has been romantically linked to actors like Quincy in the past, but she affirms that she has no interest in being with anyone who has the same career as her. So, that knocks out a lot of contenders in HollywoodLand.
Palmer explained in the interview, “I’ve always had the same philosophy when it comes to dating. Not that I wouldn’t give someone a try, but trying to keep my private life outside of my work life, to me, it’s easiest when you don’t date someone with the same career.”
She also admitted that she would like to keep her relationships offline as much as possible. As a public figure, there is a lot of herself that she shares with the public but her man is not going to be one of them.
“I don’t really do relationship stuff online, mainly because I don’t know how I would do it without looking cheesy,” she shared. “Yes, I’m a hundred percent authentic, but there is stuff that I do save for family and friends. When it comes to romance, [posting about it] doesn’t really come naturally to me, so I feel like, why force it?”
Palmer touched on the fact that due to her profile, it can be difficult to connect with people who want to connect with her for the right reasons. And that doesn’t just go for romantic connections, but friendships as well.
“I think a lot about, like, Does this person really like me for me?” she revealed. “And it’s not just romantic relationships.”
The Hustlers actress continued, “It’s friends too. That’s the most traumatic thing about fame. And that can really tear at your self-esteem if you let it. ’Cause the reality is you really might be a great person, you really might be that fun to be around, you might be that lovable, but because you’re always having to protect yourself from what people may want from you, you can’t even embrace the fact that maybe it’s all true.”
