Earlier this week rapper Cardi B went off on a viral rant about the coronavirus pandemic, asking her fellow A-listers to check their privilege as the entire world attempts to recover from the global crisis. The performer spoke out against the unfair process of several celebrities being test for the virus without even showing symptoms, while genuinely sick individuals struggle to receive testing in an adequate amount of time. While wearing an embroidered face mask, Cardi B took to IGTV to air her frustrations.

"People that work regular jobs, people that get regular paychecks, the middle class, the poor, they not getting treated like celebrities. They’re not getting their fking coronavirus results the next day," she stated. "Not everybody have the luxury to go in they fking bedroom and to go in a big-ass house and just stay away from people. A lot of people live in small-ass apartments with multiple people. So it’s like, if you’re sending me home and I have the corona-f**king-virus, I’m most likely gonna give it to my spouse, my kids, anybody that’s around me."

Cardi B, who has been a vocal supporter of Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, also spoke out against the US' stance on health care.

"A lot of celebrities have the luxury to pay $34,000 or whatever the f-k it costs to get tested and get treated. A lot of these people, they don’t f-king have that money. Some people don’t even have enough money to f-king afford healthcare," the rapper stated. Her passion and frustration could easily be felt from viewers watching.

She added, "The government should take that s--t, should charge that s--t to the game, and not charge people for it. It shouldn’t be charging no motherf--king Medicaid, health insurance, none of that shit."

She also stated that the testing situation among celebrities is causing confusion among the public. "[President Trump] is getting on a podium saying, 'Hey, listen: if you do not have any symptoms of the coronavirus — coughing, fever and whatsoever, etc. etc. — do not get tested because we don't have enough testings to test everybody," she started.

"But if a celebrity is saying, 'Hey, listen, I don't have no symptoms, I'm feeling good, I feel healthy, I don't feel like nothing but I went and got tested and I'm positive for the coronavirus," she continued. "That causes confusion."

Just a week ago the rapper shared a panic-induced Instagram clip where she was heard saying, "Government, let me tell y’all mother f--kers something. I don’t know what the f--k this coronavirus is about. I don’t understand how this s--t was from Wuhan, China, now all of the sudden this s--t is on mother f--king tour. And let me tell y’all something, I ain’t even gonna front. A b-tch is scared. I’m a little scared. You know what I’m saying? Like, s--t got me panicking."
