Lala Kent doesn’t seem to understand why Max Boyens, Dayna Kathan, Danica Dow, Brett Caprioni, and Charli Burnett, were brought to the Vanderpump Rules cast for its eighth season last summer.
“You guys, I’m going to be f**king honest. I record the show and then I watch it and I have to fast-forward for a while,” she shared on March 25.
While Kent doesn’t enjoy keeping up with the new members of the show, she insisted to Emmett and her listeners that she was not bashing them. Instead, she explained, she was simply stating the truth.”
“I actually think that the new people are great. But here’s where I’m conflicted… I feel like I’m super into a show, like I’m watching [Vanderpump Rules] and then it’s almost like I change the channel and when I come back, all of this stuff has happened and I missed it,” Kent stated.
“The new people is like a commercial that started and I flipped the channel. It takes me out of what’s happening,” Kent continued.
According to Kent, the storylines of the new cast members are completely separate from that of the OGs, which makes it confusing for her to go back and forth during episodes.
“This is how I feel. It has nothing to do with [them] personally. I don’t know them. The new people are a commercial to me. That’s how that I feel,” Kent shared.
After listening to what his fiance had to say, Emmett admitted that he likes the “new people” because they’ve been very nice to him.
“I know Max. He’s very nice. He’s very kind. I’ve had a bunch of phone conversations with him,” Emmett revealed.
“When I go to TomTom with Jax and them, that’s where I see him and he’s always a gentleman to me and always very kind,” Emmett added.
Boyens, who endured a scandal earlier this year after a number of racially charged past tweets surfaced, is the GM of TomTom.
Emmett is also on board with the addition of Kathan.
“I love Dayna. She’s a great person. She’s very kind. Every time I’ve gone into the restaurant when she’s there, she always comes up, says hello, is totally nice,” Emmett told Kent.
While Kent doubted how well Emmett actually knew her new co-stars, he pled his case and insisted that he found the newbies to be authentic people.
“The two that I know are really fun, interesting people and I’m going to be honest,” he insisted.
