Kylie Jenner is taking the initiative to help make a difference in the midst of this pandemic as she has donated $1 million to her physician/OBGYN, Dr. Thais Aliabadi. This is to help purchase masks, face shields, and other protective gear for first responders at hospitals as these materials continue to be scarce all over America. This initial announcement was made this afternoon by Aliabadi on Instagram as she's based at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

"I am speechless, my eyes are filled with tears of joy and my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude," said Aliabadi.

"I made a wish to the Universe to gather protective masks for our brave healthcare workers and today my dream came true," added Aliabadi. "One of my patients, a beautiful Living Angel just donated $1,000,000 to help us buy hundreds of thousands of masks, face shields, and other protective gear which we will have delivered directly to our first responders, as too many masks at hospitals are disappearing before making their way onto the faces of our front line heroes."

Dr. Aliabadi went on to explain how she has never felt more blessed to be a doctor as helping ER and ICU workers felt just as gratifying as helping her own patients. Jenner replied in the comments by happily saying “I love you! and thank YOU for all the love and care you put into everything that you do! you’re an angel on earth.”

"THANK YOU @kyliejenner ❤️. You are my hero. This generous donation will help save many precious lives. Our world is a better place with you in it. I love you so much. Thank you X a million...."

The lack of supplies such as masks, face masks, and other equipment in hospitals has been evident in areas such as New York City. This is an area where social distancing is very tough to accomplish due to its large population size and people people placed in such tight areas such as apartments and subway systems. In the entire state, there are over 30,800 confirmed cases of the virus and over 200 deaths. In the United States in total, there are over 62,600 cases with over 880 deaths.
