On Friday, November 12, 2021, Britney's long-drawn battle to finally be free ended, in her favor. The court-ordered conservatorship has been put on her in 2008, after a series of recorded wild behavior beginning in 2007. Things like when she publically shaved her head or attacked a paparazzo's vehicle with an umbrella. she lost custody of her sons and finally her own life.

The conservatorship was supposed to be temporary, to help her get back on her feet. Instead, it turned into 13 long years, where Spears' career was no longer her own. But the #FreeBritney campaign has been gathering force for a while now and finally, the legal system ruled in her favor.

Enough for her to call it the "Best day ever", and show a video of fans celebrating her freedom.

Which is why a fan commented, "Britney is free but I still don't get these videos…"

Some sided with the Instagram user, saying, "I don't either ? but well... if she's happy, that's all that matters" while another said, "well, 8,000 others agree with you."

But there were many defending Britney as well. Said one Instagram reply, "You don’t need to get anything. Who cares that you don’t get it? Get a life..."

Another seemed gentler in their criticism, saying, "I get the impression she loves her outfits and enjoys keeping her body in shape and showing these things to her fans."
