Scarlett Johansson is set to marry for the third time! The Avengers star confirmed her engagement to Colin Jost in May 2019, after dating for two years. Jost, a writer for SNL met Johansson when she hosted the show back in 2006.
But it wasn’t until 2017 the two started seeing each other. And while this will be the first marriage for Colin, it’ll be Scarlett’s third.
Before the two say “I do,” let’s take a look back at the men you definitely forgot the Black Widow actress dated.
Scarlett Johansson dated Lena Dunham’s ex-boyfriend, Jack Antonoff. The two attended N.Y.C.’s Professional Children’s School and started dating in 2001. They even went to prom together! However, their relationship ended sometime in 2003.
A friend of Antonoff’s told Page Six, “When we were in high school, Jack was absolutely obsessed with her, and she broke his heart. They broke up shortly after graduation . . . She got swept up in the Hollywood scene.”
Yikes! To make matters worse, Jack released a song reportedly about Scarlett a few years after their break-up.
The track, called “Better Love,” has some pretty damning lyrics: “Scars are in her name / And she scars me with blame / Hey Scarlett, you’re not the same.”

The Marriage Story star dated Jared Leto in 2004, but they split up a few months later. In 2012, they were spotted holding hands at the Democratic National Convention. And while we’re not sure how serious they were, Scarlett seemed to allude to the relationship in a 2016 interview with Cosmopolitan.
She said, “ “Long, long ago, I had someone in my life who was forever unavailable…but, like, so attractively unavailable. You have to get to your breaking point… rock bottom is the moment when you’re like, ‘I’ve lost myself. Why am I standing outside this bar at 1:30 in the morning texting while my friends are inside? Or taking a taxi to see him at some ungodly hour? This isn’t me.’ That is the moment you’ve gotta cut it off. Otherwise, it will keep coming back, suck your blood.”
The couple started dating in 2007 and were engaged by May 2008. They married four months later in a low-key ceremony. In fact, most of their marriage was kept under wraps.
Unfortunately, the pair divorced towards the end of 2010. In an interview with Vogue, Johansson opened up about her split with Ryan Reynolds.
“It was horrible,” she said. “Of course it’s horrible. It was devastating. It really throws you. You think that your life is going to be one way, and then, for various reasons or whatever, it doesn’t work out.”
She continued, “This was something I never thought I would be doing. And there’s no way to navigate it. Nobody can give you the right answer. It’s never anything you want to hear. It’s a very lonely thing. It’s like the loneliest thing you’ll ever do, in some way.”
After her divorce, Scarlett had a brief relationship with Sean Penn in 2011.
In 2012, Johansson started dating French journalist Romain Dauriac. The couple got engaged in 2013 and welcomed their daughter, Rose, in 2014.
Three years later, the couple split up. Their divorce was announced in January 2017 and finalized in September 2017, a few months after Scarlett reportedly started dating Colin.
Right now, neither Scarlett or Colin have publically discussed their wedding plans. But it’s clear the two love each other!
Months after they announced their engagement, Scarlett referred to Colin as the love of her life.
“I just want to say that this place means so much to me. I have so many friends here and I met the love of my life here,” Scarlett said while hosting SNL.
