Amid the massive coronavirus pandemic that is sweeping across the world, we're all washing our hands constantly, stocking up on toilet paper (for some reason?) and social distancing.

Health departments and governments have been putting out tips and rules for staying safe during the pandemic, and how to avoid catching the virus.

Apparently, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry thought it was necessary to contribute in their own way, by posting an Instagram photo of all the things people should be doing to protect themselves.

Instagram users mercilessly mocked the couple for the list of recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) which were posted alongside photos of healthcare workers around the world.

The advice was obvious tips that were given out weeks ago. The photo featured the following list:

  1. Wash your hands
  2. Avoid touching your face
  3. Practice good respiratory hygiene
  4. Maintain social distancing
  5. Seek medical care early if you show symptoms
  6. Stay informed; follow local health directives

In the caption, they wrote: "Around the world, the response from people in every walk of life, to protect and look out for their communities has been inspiring. None more so than the brave and dedicated healthcare workers on the frontline, risking their own well-being to care for the sick and fight COVID-19. Wherever you are in the world, we are all incredibly grateful."

Comments Under The Post Were Sarcastic and Harsh

Meghan and Harry received sarcastic and bitter comments from users. One person wrote, "I'm desperately trying to find a post that isn't telling us what we already know...WE KNOW!!! Anyone who isn't aware of the steps we have to take by now must be living under a rock."

While another user said was somewhat harsher, writing, "Nothing that we haven't already been told a hundred times. Still trying to stay relevant."

A source recently told Dailymail.com that Meghan and Harry are taking all kinds of precautions while in isolation at their mansion in Vancouver. They also said Harry was feeling really worried, especially about the Queen, and left feeling "helpless."

A Source Claimed Meghan Doesn't Want To Sit At Home Doing Nothing

The source also claimed that Harry and Meghan don't want to just sit at home doing nothing, saying, "Meghan said just because they are isolating themselves, it doesn't mean they can't help. They aren't just sitting around at home doing nothing. Meghan told her inner circle that what's happening in the world right now is a mental health crisis."

Well, clearly, creating Instagram posts means Meghan is working super hard to help with the coronavirus crisis (eye rolls.) It's probably advisable that the couple lay low at this point, and allow the obvious anger from British citizens to subside.

It was recently reported today that Prince Charles has tested positive for coronavirus, and at 71 he's in the high risk group.

He is currently in self-isolation at Balmoral with his wife Camilla who has not shown any symptoms and is being monitored.

It's thought Charles might have caught the virus from Prince Albert of Monaco who also tested positive recently.

Prince Charles last saw the Queen on March 12, and she is currently in good health while staying at Windsor Castle with her husband Prince Philip.
