Madison Beer has a bone to pick with the sub-lebrities who aren’t following the rules!
Most of our favs are doing what they’e supposed to be doing – you know, what we-slash-the-WORLD are/is supposed to be doing, which is staying at home and working from home. ALONE!
But a group of unnamed-influencers have decided that they’re above the rules, and Madison has decided that she’s not having it!
Someone remind us to file the copyright for #socialdistancing once when we’re done here
“It’s REALLLLLYYY getting under my skin watching some big creators with platforms (let alone anyone) genuinely not giving two f*cks about this GLOBAL PANDEMIC TAKING LIVES.” Her Tuesday InstaStory update came out the gate with a bang! “Y’all would be acting real real different if someone you knew or loved was at risk. Act the same for other people’s families and loved ones. You hanging out in large groups and mixing friends and so on can literally be infecting so many other people????????”
Her real-talk letter was written on a simple black ground with the basic normal font, and we love it. Right to the point!
“I’m genuinely livid right now. When you and your friends go to another friend’s house and hang out in a group, let alone a group of 10+ people, if ONE of you is sick, now more than likely all of you are, and when you go eat or go to a pharmacy or do very normally every day things (which you still shouldn’t be doing) YOU COULD SOMEONE WHO IS AT RISK OF F-CKING DYING SICK.”
“THE CASE NUMBERS YOU SEE ON THE NEWS GROWING EVERY SINGLE DAY ARE NOT JUST CASE NUMBERS, THEY ARE LIVES AND FAMILIES.”
She signed off by pleading her followers and fellows to “stop being f-cking selfish. This isn’t a joke.”
Yowza! We seriously wish we knew who these unfluencers were so we could go troll on them, but that’s probably counterproductive. Instead of being negative, let’s focus on the positivity that Madi blessed us with prior to her Insta-rant (which had to happen btw).
Earlier on Tuesday, Madison shared a graphic from The Depression Project presenting mental health issues that are being triggered due to the coronavirus pandemic. Some items listed include despair, increased anxiety, decreased financial/job security, feelings of hopelessness and despair, the promotion of social withdrawal, and its resulting loneliness.
She’s been vocal about mental matters all along, but made a specific series of tweets on March 13th to let her tribe know that she was “praying for everyone’s safety and health in this time.”
“With a global pandemic at hand, this can be a very scary, lonely, triggering, and difficult time for many. Make sure to care for your mental health in this scary period as much as you’re caring for your physical.”
What are you waiting for? Meditate! Write! Take a nap! – As Madison says, do!
…and STAY HOME!
with a global pandemic at hand, this can be a very scary, lonely, triggering, and difficult time for many. make sure to care for your mental health in this scary period as much as you’re caring for your physical. 🖤 sending love across the world in every form.
