The reappearance of Kristen Dunst as Mary Jane Watson could be hinted at by a crew member listing for Spider-Man: No Way Home.
After admirers discovered an odd listing in the titles on IMDb, rumors about Kristen Dunst featuring in Spider-Man: No Way Home have resurrected.
Return Of Dunst In Spider-Man?
Every Marvel fan knows that Tobey Maguire is rumored to be best known for his role as Spider-Man for a cameo appearance in No Way Home. There had also been rumors that Dunst would be joining him as Mary Jane Watson, although nothing has been formally verified, as with Maguire.
Now, rumors about Dunst’s role, in particular, are resurfacing. Askia Won-Ling Jacob is identified as the private costume designer for “Ms. Dunst” on IMDb. It’s also on Jacob’s page, along with her work on Spider-Man: Far From Home and Avengers: Endgame.
The new credit was first noted and tweeted by the Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst News fan page, and it has since begun to find its way to the media.
Mixed Signals All Over The Place
When it comes to murmurs, it’s better to take them with a grain of salt until they’re proven officially. Just ask Andrew Garfield, who is also supposed to appear in No Way Home to bring his own version of Spider-Man back.
In a recent interview, Garfield flatly rejected any involvement in the film, insisting that he has yet to “get a call.” He later stated that he would “never say never” to appearing in the film, so who knows what will happen till we all see it?
“I’ve heard everything,” he said, “and to be honest, I think it’s a pretty amazing idea.” “However, as a genuine fan, I think it’s a fantastic idea. But, as I’ve already stated, it’s not something that… I despise being in charge of upsetting others. It’s not like I’ve been questioned about it or anything like that. But, as they say, never say never.”
Stars Returning Left And Right
There is information that No Way Home will incorporate actors from both Maguire and Garfield’s respective series.
Alfred Molina, who co-starred with Maguire and Dunst in Spider-Man 2, will return in No Way Home to reprise his role as Doc Ock. Because so much time has gone, digital de-aging will be used to make him look exactly like he did back then.
In the meantime, Jamie Foxx has revealed that he would return as Electro, the villain from Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Stars Reprising Roles
Spider-Man: No Way Home is directed by Jon Watts and is based on a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker, and Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, J.B. Smooves, and Jacob Batalon reprise their roles as MJ, Aunt May, Julius Dell, and Ned Leeds, respectively.
Dr. Strange is also played by Benedict Cumberbatch, and given the multiple plots, there’s no telling who else might be up. Sony Pictures Releasing plans to distribute the film in theaters on December 17, 2021. Tobey Maguire & Kirsten Dunst News on Twitter has spread this rumor.
