If you happen to be a tenant of the celebrity couple then you’ll be happy to know that your rent is covered for the month of April. Kristen and Dax, who own a property management company in Los Angeles, decided to waive April’s rent payments for their tenants amidst the coronavirus crisis sweeping the globe. According to TMZ, Kristen and Dax own at least two residential buildings through the company they founded together, Pringus Property, LLC. A message was recently emailed out through the company to all tenants.

The manager, who is rumored to be Dax’s sister Carly Hatter, emailed all the tenants over the weekend and provided a bit of relief for those concerned with how they would come up with the rent. Sources told TMZ that the email expressed genuine sympathy and that the property manager promised to work with tenants moving forward during the crisis in order to make sure everyone remains in their homes. This message likely provided much-needed relief for those who were questioning how they would pay rent with the state of California in complete lockdown.

The state of California is under a lockdown mandate that ordered non-essential businesses to be shut down and people to remain inside, with very few exceptions. While no state has been entirely preventive in forcing people to stay inside or avoid going to work, California Governor Gavin Newsom has banned residents from socializing outside of their homes. His order enforces that everyone stays home with the exceptions being to get food, obtain necessary health care, go to an “essential” job, or care for family or close friends.

This order has forced millions of California residents to stay at home without having a proper income, which is causing financial distress for many. This is why the gesture from Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell is so important. While many have limited-to-no income since the coronavirus spread to the United States, many are questioning how they will pay upcoming bills. Right now more than ever, we need more gestures like the one Shepard and Bell offered their tenants.
