Taylor Swift and Kanye West have had their fair share of issues with one another. Some would even say, they’ve had an ongoing beef for years. This feud started about 10 years ago when Kanye West jumped on stage and interrupted Taylor’s award acceptance speech. From that moment on, things continued to escalate from there. Their issues with each other created diss songs and secret videos. Even though Kanye apologized right after that incident, their issues only dissolved for a few months.
During 2015, Taylor gave him a VMA award and it seemed like everything was fine. Surprisingly 1 line ignited their feud back up. In 2016, Kanye released his new song called ‘Famous’ and it features a very problematic line about Swift. ”I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. I made that bitch famous” was the lyric. Taylors team then responds that she didn’t approve of that lyric even though Kanye claims otherwise. Kanye tweeted that Taylor “thought it was funny and gave her blessing.”
That same year, Taylor won a Grammy. During her speech she told her fans as the first woman to win Album of the Year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who are going to try to undercut your success, or take credit for your accomplishments or fame, but you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you.”
To back up her husband, Kim Kardashian decided to release that audio of Swifts and West’s conversation. It seemed that Swift was lying. She was heard on the phone. After that video, people immediately took West’s side. Taylor faced a lot of backlash for years until recently. Turns out, Kim heavily edited the video. A few weeks ago, the full video was finally released and now it seems like people have switched sides. In the full video, it was clear that Swift never agreed to that line.
After the new video was released Kim was surprised by people’s response. “The video showed nothing new. We all knew that. I’m so confused right now” Kim explains. Taylor then takes to Twitter in response to the video. “I was telling the truth the whole time about that call (you know, the one that was illegally recorded, that somebody edited and manipulated in order to frame me and put me, my family, and fans through hell for 4 years)” Swift wrote. Kim did respond in a series of tweets. Even though that’s the last thing that happened so far in their feud, fans are pretty sure things are not over.
