On Sunday, Nina Dobrev, best known for her role in Vampire Diaries, was spotted spending quality time with Olympic gold medalist Shaun White. The two took a break from quarantine to ride bikes together in Malibu, California.

Nina, 31, and Shaun, 33, looked comfortable in each other’s presence. Shaun even carried Nina’s beloved dog.
So, what’s going on here? Are the two just friends or something more? Well, according to Page Six, the “couple” was seen kissing during the outing.
Before this possible new romance, Dobrev was in a year-long relationship with Grant Mellon. The couple reportedly broke up in November of last year.
Dobrev and Mellon, a screenwriter, didn’t officially confirm their break-up but multiple sources revealed the two were seeing less of each other.
The couple’s split reportedly happened quietly. According to a source, “Nina hasn’t mentioned a breakup. But she hasn’t spoken about Grant in several weeks. She seems to be quite happy and has recently been out socializing with friends, each time without Grant.”
Before Mellon, Dobrev was linked to Scream Queens star Glen Powell.
Powell, 31, starred in the 2018 romantic-comedy, Set It Up, alongside Zoey Deutch. The couple had been friends for years before their relationship turned romantic. And despite their break up, they remain good friends.
Nina also dated her Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder. On the show, they played Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore. They were an on-screen couple, who became a real-life couple. Dobrev and Somerhalder dated from 2010 to 2013.
In 2014, Ian began a relationship with Twilight star, Nikki Reed.
Ian and Nikki were engaged the following year and married in California, in April 2015. In 2017, the duo gave birth to their daughter.
According to Nina, there are no hard feelings. In fact, she’s happy for the couple!
“I think that they have a beautiful baby and they are happy and so am I,” she said on Watch What Happens Live. Dobrev even spoke about her friendship with Ian and his wife on the show, saying she doesn’t think it’s weird.
While speaking with E! News, Nina said, “We [Her and Ian] didn’t break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn’t love or friendship. I love him, and the friendship is still strong, and I think he’s great, and I care about him. And that didn’t change. Yes, we’re professional and that’s fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now.”
And Nina isn’t the only with an impressive dating history, Shaun has been linked to Lindsay Lohan and Arielle Vandenberg. But his relationship with musician Sarah Barthel is the most recent.
White and Barthel started dating in 2013 and there have been no reports of a break-up. That said, Sarah hasn’t posted a photo with Shaun since mid-2019.
