After months of silence, Justin Timberlake finally has something to say — other than an apology, that is — about his now infamous scandal in which he was caught holding hands with a co-star.
The “Can’t Stop The Feeling” singer has been the subject of many reports since then, indicating that his relationship with actor Jessica Biel had been put in a very awkward position. Now, the Bad Teacher actor claims to be learning more all the time. But people aren’t buying it.
In November of last year, Timberlake was spotted holding hands with his Palmer co-star, Alisha Wainright while hanging out on a balcony in New Orleans during filming.
A video accompanied the images, in which Timberlake appeared to be quite drunk. Wainright could be seen placing her hand on Timberlake’s knee and the two seemed to be having a good time together, talking and laughing while drinking on the balcony. Other members of the film crew were also in attendance of the get-together.
A source spoke up in defense of Timberlake and Wainwright, insisting that the two co-stars were only friends and that nothing more was going on between them. The source said there were other crew members present and that everyone was just having fun together.
Timberlake called the photos and eventual fallout gossip when he issued an apology to his wife, Jessica Biel, on Instagram. But followers took issue with the fact that Timberlake ended his apology with a plug for his and Wainright’s film, Palmer.
After the photos, video, and apology made waves across the internet, reports began to spread that it was Biel herself who had pushed Timberlake to make the apology. Sources claimed the actor was hurt and embarrassed by her husband’s actions, prompting the apology.
Sources said the couple was both doing well and suffering issues in turns. Some days seemed to be difficult for Biel and other times the couple seemed to get along great and show much support and love for each other.
Timberlake gave an interview recently in which he opened up about the scandal. When asked how he grew from it, he said there is always room to learn as a person. He also noted the damage and hurt his actions could have caused for others and admitted those things could not be undone.
Readers were not impressed with Timberlake’s words. They seemed to think not holding hands with a woman who is not your wife would be common sense and not something that would need to be learned. Others complained about the topic, saying the current COVID-19 pandemic was more important news.
