Lois Rinna Suffered A Stroke
The 93-year-old has made several appearances on RHOBH over the years and has been a source of delight to the viewers. Sadly on November 10, Rinna shared that her mother had suffered a stroke and was currently recuperating.
She posted a video of her mother dancing to Despacito captioned, “I know how much you appreciate and LOVE Lois, so I need to tell you that she has had a stroke, I am with her now, So [let’s] celebrate her and send her so much love while she transitions.”
She concluded by saying, “I was so conflicted to share this very, very sad news with you, but I know you would want to know.” Rinna’s two daughters sent love to their grandmothers; her daughter, Amelia Gray, commented, “Love you nana, forever.”
Besides Rinna’s Instagram post, there isn’t much information concerning Lois’s prognosis or whether the “Melrose Place” Alum spent her Wednesday with her mother.
This Is Lois’ Second Stroke
According to Rinna, Lois had a stroke in 2013. In May 2013, she tweeted, “My Mom had a devastating stroke 6 years ago and had to learn how to walk and talk again with months of rehabilitation she is one of the lucky ones. She is not the same as she once was but she has overcome so much. We are blessed and so grateful.”

The much-loved RHOBH mom hadn’t seen her daughter and family for almost a year since December 2019 because of the pandemic, but they reunited in December 2020.
“We haven’t seen Lois since last Christmas. She is doing great I’m so happy to report, but we Miss her so much!!!” Lisa captioned a video of her and her mom dancing.
Lois Once Faced Death
Besides her medical issues, Lois was also attacked by a colleague named Daniel Carpenter a few years before giving birth to her daughter. This man became known as the Roadside killer in 1960.
Rinna shared the story in an episode of RHOBH in April 2019. “A few years before I was born, my mom was attacked by a man she worked with. He picked her up at the bus stop, and then all of a sudden, he started to drive her down this really deserted road.
“He tried to rape her. He tried to kill her. Luckily, a military policeman had seen them drive down this deserted road and he knew no one was supposed to be down there and he followed them down. My mom was saved that day by that military policeman,” she continued.
Lois added, “That was a really bad thing. I knew him. I thought that was it. He had a hammer in one hand and a knife in another.” Thankfully nothing happened to her.
Fans And Friends Wishes Lois Speedy Recovery
After Rinna’s post, fans and fellow Bravo stars sent their best wishes to the “Melrose Place” Alum. RHOBH co-star Kyle Richards commented saying, “Love you, Lisa. We all love Lois so much. Please give her a kiss for us. Sending love & prayers.”
