Jessica Alba is staying away from the crowds. The 38-year-old actress and Honest founder now joins the slew of celebrities keeping behind closed doors as the novel coronavirus continues to gain ground – while the global death toll for COVID-19 hit a sobering 10,000 on Friday, the figure has since risen to over 13,000.
Jessica has been keeping herself and her family busy during the mass quarantine – the star recently made headlines for including daughters Honor and Haven in a TikTok video. She’s even dropped another one. The “Fantastic Four” actress did, however, take to Instagram solo this weekend, and it was a stunning shot.
Jessica’s Saturday photo was a simple selfie as the star kept herself in shape during a home workout. Jessica was 100% makeup-free, also channeling a power vibe as she posed in a black spandex sports bra with a flexed bicep – Jessica pumps her iron. The brunette was looking flawless as she looked into the lens with her hair in an unfussy ponytail, also rocking discreet earrings.
A caption mentioned both staying home amid COVID-19 and working out.
“Yo #stayhealthy #stayhome #staystrong – what types of fitness vids do u want from me? Should I do Youtube vids too? IGLives? IGTV? Comment below ⬇️,” Alba wrote.
Following her selfie, Jessica returned to Instagram with another of her legendary TikTok videos, this time, with 11-year-old daughter Honor. The two were twinning in black as they jammed out to “Funky Town” by Pseudo Echo – you’ve just scrolled past the video. Here, Jessica was looking a total knockout in a metallic black sports bra paired with matching leggings. Meanwhile, mini-me daughter Honor wore a looser t-shirt as she joined in the moves.
The video currently sits at 2.5 million views.
Jessica joins the list of famous faces whose stay-at-home time is backed by cushion of wealth. This, in itself, has been raised by fans responding to a home selfie of “Wonder Woman” Gal Gadot recently – the Israeli actress’ ability to stay home raised a few eyebrows.
A recent post from Jessica sent out thoughts to those facing particular hardship.
“Snuggling with my littles feeling grateful and emotional as we’ve been adjusting to this new normal -I can’t help but think of all the families with babies & young children who aren’t getting what they need to get by -My company @honest pledged today to donate 3M diapers 20k personal care products and 30k wipes to @baby2baby -but the need for these families includes so much more,” she wrote, with kind hashtags.
If you haven’t cottoned on to why celebrities keep posting videos on how to correctly wash your hands, it’s because it matters. You’d be amazed how many spaces you miss without doing it the medical way. Jessica posted a video last week urging fans to wash their hands, per expert advice.
“Follow @who @cdcglobal #worldhealthorganization for all updates regarding #covid_19
1. #washyourhands 2. #practicesocialdistancing 3. If you are feeling ill -stay home and away from others in your home 4. Practice love and kindness ??? we are in this together,” she wrote.
