Britney Spears has had “Free Britney” on her mind all day.
Today, November 12, marked a massive day in Britney’s 13-year conservatorship case.
The pop singer’s lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, arrived at a Los Angeles County Court today around 1:30 PM where Judge Brenda Penny decided whether or not to terminate Britney’s years-long conservatorship. Britney was not in attendance.
Her massive fanbase gathered outside of the courthouse and waited with bated breath to find out the results from the hearing.

According to The Independent, the hearing is closed, meaning no reports will emerge until after the judge has ruled. There are also reports that the court is monitoring social media use to ensure nobody tweets from inside the court room. Until the result comes through, fans are nervously waiting for news outside the court.
Both Brit’s lawyer, and father, Jamie Spears, have asked the judge to end the conservatorship without any medical evaluation of the singer.

A conservator will continue to work to settle “ongoing financial concerns related to the case,” per The New York Times.
Rosengart is still pushing to have her father and the estate’s former business manager, Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, to be investigated for financial mismanagement.
Fans on social media were rejoicing over the long-awaited news. They threw pink confetti and fired off fireworks in front of the courthouse!

Earlier in the day, Britney appeared on her fiancé, Sam Asghari’s, Instagram sporting a white t-shirt that had #FreeBritney written in bold red writing.

In the video, Spears is spinning around inside of her home, and posing in different locations with her man. Of course, Sam is sporting the black version of the same t-shirt, which appears to be made for this occasion.
The “Slave 4 U” singer has been under her father’s control and the control of the conservatorship since 2008 after her public mental breakdown.
Britney gave an astounding testimony in June in which she told the judge her conservatorship was abusive and oppressive.

She also detailed how the conservatorship has not allowed her to get married or have children due to an IUD she’s been forced to keep in. Britney revealed she had been put in Lithium against her will.
In September, a LA County judge made the monumental decision of “suspending” Jamie from the case until a complete dismissal of the conservatorship can be decided.
The good news is that Britney Spears already has a great financial support system in place after her new lawyer was able to lobby the court in having a new advisor put in place. Plus, she has a new fiancé, who is able to assist in other aspects of her life. Obviously, if you have followed this case, it is important that Britney’s father is out of the picture. Many believe it was him who pushed the agenda of having her under the conservatorship for this long in the first place.
