Charlize Theron has been stocking her fridge. The “Bombshell” actress now joins the slew of celebrities making headlines for their shopping trips as coronavirus sees Hollywood on lockdown and social distancing –on Friday, 22-year-old actress Ariel Winter was photographed grabbing Lucky Charms on her outing.
Charlize, 44, was snapped by The Daily Mail’s paparazzi on Friday as she headed out to a Beverly Hills grocery store – the rich and famous may be turning to home deliveries, but it looks like the South African actress was willing to do her own shopping.
Photos (see below and keep swiping) showed the blonde bundled up and with her daughters, 8-year-old Jackson and 3-year-old August. Charlize had opted out of flashing too much flesh, but her super-fit frame was nonetheless on show as she was photographed in a skin-tight black pair of yoga pants flaunting her gym-honed legs.
Also rocking a matching zip-up jacket from The North Face, plus simple black-and-white Nike sneakers, Charlize kept low-key from under a baseball cap. Statement dark shades added a little Hollywood glam.
Charlize was captured both in the store’s parking lot as she held her daughter’s hand, plus as she exited the store and pushing an overflowing cart. The star appeared to have purchased some treat foods as hints of a Doritos bag were visible, although Theron was spotted eyeing up a healthier produce section – the star was seen selecting fresh watermelons from a large pile.
The state of California is currently on a mandatory and statewide lockdown as coronavirus cases continue to shoot up – all 50 U.S. states now have cases confirmed, though, with the global death toll having surpassed 12,000 today.
Celebrities are now teaming together in an effort to get the public to heed warnings to social distance, and, if necessary, self-isolate. While Serena Williams stays at home following her “solitude” announcement and Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato team up for their new “BrightMinded” Instagram series, 22-year-old Kylie Jenner has shared a message from the U.S. Surgeon General at the end of last week – the makeup mogul and reality star begged fans to stay at home.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Miley has also made headlines for begging fans to stop panic buying – you “don’t need all the soup,” she wrote.
Every day seems to bring a new celebrity face confirming that they’ve tested positive for COVID-19. Kicking things off earlier this month was 63-year-old actor Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson. Both have, however, since been released from hospital.
The NBA, now canceled, has also been hit, with players including Donovan Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Christian Wood testing positive. Two “Game of Thrones” stars are also carriers, as is “Bond” girl Olga Kurylenko, plus British actor Idris Elba.
