It’s official, things have just gone from bad to an unprecedented level of confusing. As of now two states, New York and California, have put forward a set of regulations that lean towards making people stay in their homes. There has also been the deployment of the national guard in Ohio, and possibly Chicago. Although this might seem like a great idea to some Americans who are scared out of their minds, others don’t like the idea of being forced to do anything.
It is quite UnAmerican to put forward laws that will prohibit personal liberties. As people the majority of us understand the gravity of Coronavirus, but it’s not going to be beneficial in any sort of way to have boots on the ground enforcing these statutes. We are all alloted rights and the power of choice here in the United States. This is the main reason why people flee their own countries to come here. So, let’s reconvene and develop a strategy that doesn’t involve removing anyone’s ability to make their own decisions.
It’s clear with workplaces shutting down and everything being put on pause, most of the population is already comfortably in their homes 70 percent of the time. So why the need for these kinds of enforcements? Are we going to start to charge people for solely desiring to live life, and go out. Hopefully we won’t fall down that rabbit hole. With time we will see from the federal level where these types of moves will take all of us.
Also, some reassurance that martial law probably won’t besiege this country all goes back to the President of The United States. Donald Trump is known as the unconventional politician who isn’t for big government getting involved in personal matters. Obviously this is a more profound issue affecting our country, but still it doesn’t feel like something he would “off the rip” lean towards. What we really are craving at this time more than anything is a strong turn of direction.
His right hand man, Vice President Pence, has at times been more of a shoulder to lean on in terms of calming the anxieties of Americans. Also Dr. Fauci has been a nice medical profession to return to when the world appears to be falling to shambles. A great practice that all Americans should take part in, if even for a minute, is guided meditation. Meditating can really free the mind of all external issues and help the day move forward a lot more smoothly.
