Earlier this week, Jennifer Garner appeared as a guest on Jimmy Fallon's virtual version of "The Tonight Show". The pair took the time to discuss some serious aspects of the novel coronavirus , as well as some more lighthearted topics. At one point during the interview, Garner revealed her very real and very relatable frustrations at trying to get her parents, William and Patricia, to stay inside and self-isolate during the pandemic. Though the need for isolation is a serious one, viewers couldn't help but laugh at Garner's commentary.

"The hard thing are teens and early 20s people and my parents. My parents are the hard ones. I’m like, ‘Dad, mom, the world is shut down to keep you safe.’ And they’re like, ‘We think we’re going to go to Sam’s Warehouse.’ Stay home, you have to stay home!" Garner explained. She also noted that her kids, Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 8, whom she shares with ex husband, Ben Affleck, are having a much easier time adjusting to the isolation.

"I think I have the perfect age kids for this because they’re big enough to understand and to have the conversations. ‘Like, we’re built for challenge, we can do this, we’re a tough team. Let’s learn about a vacuum cleaner.’ But they’re not so big that they’re just like, ‘Well I don’t care. I’m going to go," the actress stated. Garner, along with several other celebrities, has been incredibly vocal about the current pandemic and what is needed from all of us on social media.

Just a few days ago, Garner teamed up with actress and friend, Amy Adams, to promote important organizations such as "Save The Children" and "No Kid Hungry".

She shared a video of herself and Adams, as well as a caption that read, "Welcome to @SAVEWITHSTORIES (and please welcome my friend @amyadams to Instagram!)—a spot to watch your favorite celebrities read your favorite children’s books. We are galvanizing (without hair and makeup!!) as a community to support a new fund for a combined effort between @savethechildren and Share Our Strength’s @nokidhungry (and thank you to our founding publisher, @scholasticinc ♥️)."

The caption continued with, "THIRTY MILLION CHILDREN in the United States rely on school for food. School closures will hit vulnerable communities hard and #SaveTheChildren and #NoKidHungry are on the ground and ready to serve. They just need our help! . These funds will help us make sure that families know how to find meals when schools are closed, support mobile meal trucks, food banks and other community feeding programs, provide educational toys, books and worksheets, and support out-of-school-time programs to help kids make up for lost time in the classroom."
