Comedian Rosie O’Donnell has publicly taken exception to the way President Donald Trump has responded to the outbreak of CoVid-19 or Coronavirus. O’Donnell criticized the president, according to Fox News pointing the finger at Trump for slow and diminished response.

O’Donnell, who has a famous feud with the president for years running, reportedly, “reignited their war of words in a recent interview with TMX News on Thursday. She joined a bevy of other celebrities in criticizing Trump’s slow response to the coronavirus in the United States,” according to Fox.

“There’s tremendous confusion, and it comes right from President Trump and it started from him saying it was a hoax, a Democratic hoax,” O’Donnell said according to People.

The former talk show host seemed to be referencing the president’s rally near the end of February when the virus was less prevalent in the United States when Trump dismissed concerns, calling the panic related to Democrats attempts to remove him from office, which were still ongoing when coronavirus was gaining momentum.

“They tried anything, they tried it over and over. And this is their new hoax,” Trump said according to People. “At this level of crisis that he would choose to go that way I mean — he really is such a disappointment to so many people on so many different levels,” O’Donnell, 57, said of Trump earlier in the week, People reported.

O’Donnell also poked fun at the president’s previous promise that people would be able to be tested for CoVid-19. O’Donnell seemed to consider the nation’s lack of tests a direct reaction to the president’s actions.

“We needed the test kits months ago. No one answered why he decided to not take the World Health Organization tests. I think it was for him to try making the tests in the United States,” O’Donnell said.

She added: “We need to – when this is over – to get through the reasons why things happened as they did, so we can make sure this never happens again. We’re looking forward to a time when the nation has a leader they can trust, who doesn’t lie to them.”

“In November I think Americans will use their voices loud and strong,” O’Donnell concluded, seeming to consider the president’s current actions to be a day late and a dollar short.

The president declared a state of emergency and signed into law legislation that will provide relief to Americans who are affected by the loss of income the virus has brought with it.

“We need to — when this is over — to get through the reasons why things happened as they did, so we can make sure this never happens again,” O’Donnell said. “We’re looking forward to a time when the nation has a leader they can trust, who doesn’t lie to them.”

“The fact that there is no federal leadership is adding to the anxiety that the country has,” she added.
