Jenelle Evans Says Online Trolls Are Getting to Her

Now that Jenelle Evan's time with MTV and Teen Mom 2 has come to an end, the former reality TV star is spending a lot of time on social media. In the wake of a separation from her husband followed by an apparent reunion, Jenelle has faced a lot of blowback from fans. It would seem that every decision Jenelle makes, her followers are there to criticize her. Now, Jenelle is speaking out about the anxiety and depression "online trolls" are causing her.

Recently, Jenelle appeared on an episode of a podcast called Dumb Blonde. In the episode, she claimed that the criticism "gets to you really bad." The host of the podcast, Bunnie, asked Jenelle if the criticism has led to anxiety or depression, and the mother of three said, "Definitely, and a lot lately."

Jenelle has appeared in the news lately for many reasons, including the fact that she got back together with her ex even after he admitted to murdering the family dog.

So, how is Jenelle dealing with online criticism, some of which even comes from former fans? She says, "You have to ignore all of it." She talks about putting down her phone to "focus on something else."

The fact that Jenelle is no longer filming Teen Mom 2 may have provided her a bit of reprieve from the spotlight, but she has not disappeared. She has continue to make YouTube videos and post on social media. It would seem that Jenelle does not want to leave the public eye entirely.

Jenelle admits that she is sticking to YouTube for now, and she will continue updating people about her life on social media. She discusses being happy that she is no longer filming for MTV. She says, "For once, making my own schedule and picking and choosing if I want to do something or if I don't. I'm not forced into anything or forced to talk about anything."

And about a future on television? Jenelle says that she would work for MTV again, but she would not do it under the Teen Mom franchise.

Jenelle claims she has some plans for the future, but she is officially under contract with MTV until April. She claims other networks have been interested in her and that she has had some private meetings with them. April is just around the corner -- could a network TV show be in the works for Jenelle?

In spite of online criticism, Jenelle continues to speak to fans via social media. It is unclear if she has plans to quit social media in the hopes of curbing her access to the harsh words of her followers.
