Cardi B has been keeping herself occupied during coronavirus quarantine. The 27-year-old rapper and “Hustlers” actress has mostly made headlines this month for her “Coronavirus, sh*t is getting real” rant both going viral and entering the iTunes charts – while Cardi ranting about COVID-19 currently sits at over 21 million views on her Instagram, there’s a new video that’s hardly been lacking on the engagement.
Cardi updated her Instagram late on Thursday night. The home-set video showed what the Latina had been up to – it’s also been going down a storm with her followers.
The video (seen below) showed Cardi in her home and in a living room. The star was barefoot and sandwiched between wooden steps leading to a higher floor and gray couches. Music was playing as the camera took in a perfectly-stacked Jenga tower – the blocks that Cardi eventually reached as she knocked them over appeared as tall as the rapper herself.
Cardi was dressed in an all-black wardrobe comprised of a simple t-shirt and tiny gym shorts, seen running full-throttle at the tower and eventually screaming as she smashed it.
“Day 3,” she captioned the video.
Engagement was high on this post. Over 12.3 million views were clocked in the space of eight hours, with the comments section overflowing.
“Bro why u use yo head only” came from Chance The Rapper, with his reply racking up over 7,900 likes.
“Now you gotta damn concussion bardi wtf,” a fan wrote.
“Coronavirus Got Us F*cked Up ?” was another comment, with another user adding:
“Damn Manita if one of those blocks would’ve fall on your toe I know those thing hurt don’t hurt ya self now manita ??.”
Cardi’s March 11 rant didn’t take long to get remixed. Brooklyn-based DJ iMarkkeyz added his own spin on the “Money Bag” rapper’s words, throwing in Elmo and other well-known snippets amid low-res footage to a beat that had jazzed Cardi’s words up.
The video went viral, alongside now finding itself on the iTunes charts, something that Cardi dedicated an Instgram post to. The star has since confirmed that proceeds from any sales of the track would be donated to help the relief effort.
Cardi has also semi-jokingly contemplated moving to Antarctica amid COVID-19.
As seen above, Cardi’s rant showed her trademark humor, but it likewise showed the star manifesting her fears – bear in mind the video is now over a week old.
“Government, let me tell y’all mother f–kers something,” she began. “I don’t know what the f— this Coronavirus is about. I don’t understand how this s–t was from Wuhan, China, now all of the sudden this s–t is on mother f—ing tour.”
“And let me tell y’all something, I ain’t even gonna front, a b–ch is scared,” she admitted. “I’m a little scared. You know what I’m saying? Like, s–t got me panicking,” Cardi added.
