There have been big changes on “The Real Housewives of Orange County” this season, including the ousting of “RHOC” original cast member Vicki Gunvalson, who hoped her engagement to Steve Lodge would save her and return her to full-time status after her orange was snatched and she was demoted to a “friend of housewive” role.
Emily Simpson, who makes the most waves with her husband, Shane, who has been condescending and rude to his wife throughout their time on the show, weighed in on what the shakeups on the show will mean for storylines, and what “RHOC” will be like without the two very familiar faces.

“I think this year’s cast is amazing because you have 6 diverse and completely different women with real relationships and histories with one another,” she told fans on Instagram.
The new cast includes returning Housewives Shannon Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, and Kelly Dodd, as well as some as-of-yet unnamed newcomers On her own Instagram page, she filmed her dog and cat playing (happily!) on her bed while revealing that she’s using Amazon delivery services to stay sane while the family is self-quarantined.
Windham-Burke also said that season 15 will feature a bigger dose of reality without Gunvalson and Judge – and their constant need to either “whoop it up” or jump into pools or hot tubs naked.
“This season is so different, real issues, real relationships, I wonder what changed,” Windham-Burke said on the Twitter site of the reality show website Reality Tea.
As for Simpson, she says her husband – who had been studying for the California bar, which he failed for the fourth time – will be a different man now that he has watched himself – and his bad behavior – on the show.

“I think him watching the episodes and then seeing what everybody is saying on social media, I feel like that was probably the kick in the pants that he needed to be like, ‘oh ok, I’m not nice sometimes and I don’t talk really nice to my wife and I do need to change,'” Simpson told US Weekly.
She herself says she doesn’t watch full episodes of the show.
“That’s how difficult it is for me,” she told the website TooFab. “I obviously know what’s going on in the episodes just because Shane watches them, my sister watches them. I’m on social media, so I see clips and I see people talking about it, but it almost makes me nauseous to watch it. It’s not easy.”
“The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 15 is currently filming, and there are reports that a close friend of Kelly Dodd – who is currently engaged to Fox News reporter Rick Levanthal after ending her relationship with plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Reagan –
Elizabeth Vargas, the CEO of a digital music streaming label, could be a new cast member. Vargas is currently going through a divorce from her husband, so she will fit in well with Gina Kirschenheiter, who is also experiencing a divorce from her husband, Matt.
