The Instagram page FraudedbyTLC is claiming that filming for the “Couples Tell All” segment of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days will be postponed. In an apparent email from Sharp Entertainment, it is revealed that the reunion special will be canceled for April 3 and 4. In fact, the studio’s entire building has been shut down for the time being.
Like many other shows, 90 Day Fiance and 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days will likely see some production schedule changes as a result of the spread of COVID-19.
Many fans don’t seem to think this is a terrible thing. In fact, the FraudedbyTLC Instagram page claimed that way too much usually happens between the filming of the tell all episode and “real time.” Many fans are able to catch up with the couples on Instagram by the time the tell all actually airs on TLC, which can make for a pretty anti-climactic show. Right now, Before the 90 Days is only on its fourth episode of the season, which means there is still a lot in store.
At this time, it does not appear that a date for filming has been rescheduled. Fans generally expect to see a reunion episode after about 12 episodes, so there is still time for the studio to figure out a solution.
The statement from Sharp Entertainment also reads, “At the moment, we at Sharp Entertainment are working with TLC network to see if there is any feasible way to produce a smaller scale version of the reunion, but these alternative plans are fluid during this unprecedented time in our country.” Seemingly, the studio is looking for a way to ensure that a reunion can be filmed even if the reunion is a digital one.
Right now, fans are responding to the news with varied emotions. Some are happy to see that the tell all will be filmed in the future, while others feel uncertain about the production shutdown and the future of their favorite show.
One Instagram user had a practical solution for producers. They said, “Skype it all in like you do with folks who can’t make it from overseas.” Another said, “Oh good. The last “Tell All” was boring! Two hours of my life I’ll never get back!”
The cast members have not spoken about the filming being slowed down, and seemingly the entirety of the show has been filmed already. This means that fans will not see other disruptions in the show’s release.
On the bright side, there is news that Pillow Talk, a 90 Day Fiance spinoff, is still in the works. In fact, it would appear that some scenes were filmed remotely so that the show will air at its normal time.
One thing is clear: for the next few weeks, fans should be able to get their 90 Day fix.
