Britney Spears 100% stuck to her promise. The 38-year-old pop icon vowed just yesterday that she’d be delivering a yoga move and position every single day as the coronavirus pandemic continues to cause both death and chaos – COVID-19 has now hit all U.S. states, with the global death toll now at over 10,000.
Britney took to Instagram on Wednesday in video mode to promise that during a time she called both “horrendous” and “crazy,” she’d be delivering some zen yoga to help ease the pain.
Britney updated her Instagram on Thursday, sharing snaps of herself busting out some yoga moves on the beach. The “Toxic” singer had been photographed far out and solo on abandoned shores and under semi-cloudy skies as she stretched her body out in a tiny bikini – if anyone’s in a position to be delivering fitspo at 38, it’s this mom of two.
Two moves were shared as Britney showed her flexibility in a downward dog and upper strength positioning. The star used only emoji for her caption.
Britney’s post clocked the likes in no time. Over 71,000 came in before the post was one hour old, with the comments section proving quick to fill up.
“Invented yoga at the beach shore,” one fan wrote.
“Queen of healing herself and the world with higher frequencies,” another said.
The above response is likely a reference to Britney’s video message announcing her promise – the blonde had said it was a time to “stay with people that lift your frequency to a higher ground.”
Britney’s promise video was a simple one. It showed the singer standing in tiny white shorts and cropped upper clothing as she spoke into the camera.
“Ok, so with the Corona disease going around which is absolutely horrendous and crazy and so scary for our nation,” the star began, adding that in this time, it was important to be surrounded by the aforementioned “higher frequency.”
Britney hasn’t been spotted out and about since warnings to self-distance have increased. The singer is likely staying home with boyfriend Sam Asghari.
Britney caused concern over February for a string of very repetitive and seemingly sporadically-posted snaps showing her in a white bathing suit. While these, plus a video of the singer speaking in a British accent sparked mental health worries, Britney has since clapped back to the haters.
“I’ve read a lot of things online of people criticising my posts… saying I post the same 15 pictures with the same red background and wearing the same white bathing suit,” she wrote.
“Reading all of the mean comments really hurts my feelings… and I wanted to share because you really shouldn’t be saying all of these mean things to someone you don’t even know… this goes for bullying anyone really!!!!!!” Spears added.
