Kanyr has been more active on Instagram lately, and that also came with a throwback photo of himself, with his mother. There, Kanye was a baby at the time, and Donda West is seen holding him, with the biggest smile. Kanye also flashed an adorable smile at her, as well. This comes 14 years and a day after the day that Donda passed away.

Kanye Named His Latest Album After His Mother
Kanye has showed his mother a lot of love, in the years following her passing. This summer, Ye’s 10th studio album, was also titled “Donda.” This album was promoted with three album listening events; two in Atlanta, and one in Ye’s hometown of Chicago.
The Donda album was finally released, on August 29. It ended up debuting at number one, on the Billboard 200 chart. It was also Ye’s 10th consecutive number one album. It featured appearances from Jay Z, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, and more. Many view this project as one of the hottest albums of 2021. Donda was originally scheduled to be released way back in July 2002, but there ended up being various delays.
Kanye Recreated The Home That He Grew Up In With His Mother
At Kanye’s final “Donda” album listening event, in Chicago, he honored his childhood home, that he grew up in, with his mother. At Solider Field, a replica of their home was put in the middle of the venue, as songs from the album began to play. Ye was able to go inside this home during the event, as he also brought along DaBaby and even Marilyn Manson. The intro to Ye’s album also has a voice that constantly says “Donda.”
Kanye Recently Ended Feud With Soulja Boy, Over ‘Donda’ Collaboration
On Wednesday, Ye also took to social media to reveal that he and Soulja Boy are on good terms. Things turned sour a few months ago, when Soulja revealed that Kanye removed his appearance, on the Donda album. In a new Drink Champs interview, Kanye made it known that he wasn’t really into what Soulja recorded, for the song they had on the table.
In Kanye’s Instagram post, he showed a screenshot, of the new text messages between himself and Soulja. Ye said “Yo it’s Ye. Love you bro. I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse.” It was all good on Soulja’s end, as he accepted the apology. His reply read “Love you too bro. That’s all I wanted.”
Many fans weren’t even anticipating a Soulja Boy collaboration on Donda. Despite Kanye initially removing Soulja from the album, he still recognized Soulja, in the Drink Champs interview, as one of the most influential people, in the music industry.
