How Suzanne Somers is Handling the Current Pandemic

The COVID-19 outbreak has caused multiple governments to enforce or suggest the public to quarantine themselves to prevent spreading. Depending on where you are located at on the map will determine how severe your local government has urged "social distancing". Everyone has been adjusting and preparing in their own ways during this nerve-wracking time. Prior to the outbreak Suzanne Somers would accompany her husband Alan Hamel at their establishment called Big Al's Bar. The couple would spend several nights a week here enjoying their time.

Due to the massive concern over the coronavirus the couple is no longer able to attend their normal dates along with some cocktails. However, the illness is not preventing the 73 year old actress from doing what she enjoys. The husband and wife have decided to turn to their Facebook account to host a show for their fans a couple times a week while they stay at their home in Palm Springs, California. They are one of many celebrities who have decided to use the live feature available on social media to interact with their following during this time.

No Stopping the Fun

The actress had just spoke to Page Six about how her and her husband are going about the social distancing. In regards to the couple virtually enjoying their cocktails the Three's Company star asks "Why should that stop". The actress notes that with the technology in the present day it allows them to stay connected to their family and friends. They speak with their love ones via FaceTime in order to combat the loneliness that they are faced with to avoid catching the illness.

The Use of Technology

Thanks to being able to jump online and communicate with practically anyone people can find this one of the few ways they are able to communicate with outside while being quarantined in their homes. Somers has found that being able to visibly see her family even if it is just through the phone is "very connecting and uplifting". It is certain that most of the world have found comfort in still being able to communicate via phones during this tense time.

Somers ability to broadcast cocktail parties have been credited to keeping her in a positive mood even with what is going on outside of her home, and the home of many others. She further states that instead of being in a down mood she will do her hair, throw some makeup on and dress in a favorite outfit of hers. She suggests that "What the world needs now is love, sweet love!" Somers is providing an example that while some of us are stuck at home we should make the best of it and do not allow it to damper our moods.
