Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have been on an emotional rollercoaster since Friday, November 5.
Travis’ Astroworld Fest at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas turned into a horrific crime scene after nine people died and more than 300 concertgoers were injured during his concert.
50,000 people were in attendance.
People were collapsing, fighting for air, others were lifting up unconscious bodies and crowd surfing them to safety, while others were shouting at the top of their lungs for the concert to stop.
Fans were fighting for their lives at Astroworld
Sadly, Travis kept performing and didn’t seem to know the chaos, panic and horror unfolding beneath him.
Travis and Kylie both issued their own personal statements on social media after finding out the tragic news, and have remained quiet since.
Not only does this tragedy not bode well for Travis and his future, but it also could have an impact on Kylie’s multiple businesses.
She could potentially lose millions of dollars in the wake of everything.
According to a report from The Sun, Kylie’s social media silence could be negatively impacting her businesses: Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Skin, Kylie Swim and Kylie Baby.
Kylie’s Businesses In Jeopardy?!?
All of her accounts, personal and business, post multiple times a week. They typically post daily on Instagram Stories and weekly on their respective Instagram profile; however, they’ve all remained respectfully silent this week.
Kris Jenner is reportedly in ‘crisis mode’ as Kylie stands to lose a handful of business partnerships.
A source close to the famous family told the British outlet, “Kylie feels the weight of this and more than anything wants to do right by the victims.”
They continued to explain that Kylie cares about everything that has transpired and the victims.
However, the insider added, “at the same time, she is a businesswoman responsible for the livelihood of a lot of people. She feels like she’s in a lose-lose situation because she wants to take time to respect the victims from Astroworld but at the same time, she employs a lot of people.”
The longer her companies go without having an active presence on social media, the more sales could go down and in turn make less money from marketing.
Social media silence could lead to millions of dollars lost
“We’re talking potentially millions of dollars in losses,” the source noted.
The Kardashian-Jenner money making machine never stops.
The Sun’s source explained that Kylie is cautious about moving forward adding, “She feels a responsibility as a brand founder but she also knows the second they do post something business related, people will be upset she’s ‘moved on’ and doing self-promotion after this tragedy.”
It seems Kylie is in a way following in Travis’ footsteps with staying quiet.
The rapper has canceled multiple performances in the wake of Astroworld, and most recently canceled a $5.5 million engagement in Saudi Arabia.
