Many daytime talk shows are taking precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Most have completely removed their live studio audiences. Al Roker and Craig Melvin are in quarantine after a staff member on the 'Today Show' tested positive for the coronavirus. Roker continued to be an active part of the show doing a weather report from his couch during the show's third hour. Now, according to PopCulture, Whoopi Goldberg is looking after her health by hosting 'The View' from her apartment.

"I am great! This is what we call responsible social distancing," Goldberg told viewers videoing in from her home. "So you know, I went to the doctor yesterday to check myself out just to make sure, and he gives me the all-clear to go to work, and I'm getting ready to do it, and then I start hearing these inconsistent messages from everyone. From the mayor, who's saying 'we're gonna be in place for now. New York's gonna lockdown.' "

And then you have Gov. Cuomo saying, 'well, that’s not going to happen.' And I just felt like if I was going to really try to figure out whether it was okay to come in – and my brain said, 'you know what, 'til they can get themselves together, the governor and the mayor, until they can figure out what they’re doing, I should not go in.' So that's why I'm still here," Whoopi continued.

She explained that she is going against her doctor's orders.

"I am healthy, though my doctor was very annoyed with me. He's like, 'I just gave you the okay, why are you back?' I said, 'Because I need an okay, okay,'" she explained. "And so he gave me the okay, okay, but I just felt like with all this inconsistency between the governor and the mayor, it wasn’t good for me."

Whoopi isn't the only 'The View' host taking precautionary measures even though no one on 'the show has tested positive for the virus.

'The View' host Joy Behar announced that at 77, she is aware she is in a high risk demographic and would be taking time off from the show.

“I’m in a higher risk group because of my age, but I’m perfectly healthy,” Behar said on Friday’s show. “I don’t look my age, but I’m actually up there. The number makes me dizzy.”

"I decided that I think I'm gonna stay home for a while. I'm gonna socially distance myself a little bit," Behar continued. "So next week you won't see me here."
