Kaia Gerber has sparked a wave of backlash for being photographed out and about in a group setting amid the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 is now seeing millions advised to self-distance (or self-isolate if manifesting symptoms), with celebrities including Serena Williams, plus Justin and Hailey Bieber removing themselves from society.
Kaia, 18, was snapped by the paparazzi yesterday as she hit up a grocery store with fellow model Cara Delevingne, also being photographed with Netflix star Tommy Dorfman and another male. The model and daughter to Cindy Crawford is now finding herself slammed – particularly, since she had posted self-distancing-related content on her social media.
Photos (seen below) obtained by The Daily Mail showed Kaia in the street and strolling around with her male pals – at any other time, the outing would’ve been dubbed as completely ordinary. Kaia was looking stunning, flaunting her super-slim and long legs in a black pair of tight yoga pants, also rocking an oversized varsity jacket, plus a gray sweatshirt and sneakers.
Kaia was photographed smiling and fully makeup-free, also sporting a white ribbed beanie hat, plus matching ankle socks.

Over 590 users upvoted the following comment:
“Kids her age are taking this as a big joke and figure nothing bad will ever happen to them.”
“Probably shouldn’t be out and hanging with friends at this time. I wish these younger people would take this actual self-quarantine just a bit more seriously,” another wrote.
“Not exactly social distancing as you claim,” a comment read.
The “social distancing” headline pertained to the exact words used by Kaia as her Instagram post showing a “Home Alone” scene suggested she was keeping herself away from others.
There’s no denying that some of the comments left to the British newspaper were on the trolling side. That said, many of the damning remarks appeared to be pointing out an issue that “Younger” actress Hilary Duff recently outlined – the star called young millennials “-ssholes” for ignoring coronavirus warnings.
“How is hanging out with her friends ‘social distancing’??” a user wrote.
“Rich irresponsible brat” was a more hurtful comment, but it did garner many upvotes.
Kaia also delivered a TikTok dance with Cara Delevingne.
Kaia does appear to have taken precautions. The new face of Louis Vuitton was spotted wearing rubber gloves as she went grocery shopping with “13 Reasons Why” actor Tommy Dorfman, plus stars Ashley Benson and Cara Delevingne – Kaia was also photographed holding Clorox wipes in her vehicle.
The coronavirus originating in Wuhan, China now has more cases outside of the Asian country – the epicenter is now Europe, although cases in the U.S. are rising, with the virus now confirmed in all 50 states.
