Katy Perry Shows Off New Hair Color In A Skintight Leather Dress

Katy Perry is changing up her look a bit in her latest set of social media photos, and her fans seem to approve.

The singer, 37, took to her Instagram account to share a series of photos of herself looking so stunning as she dressed up for an event. She also added videos showcasing the transformation. Check them out below.

In the snapshots, Perry rocked a form-fitting brown leather dress by Vivienne Westwood. The garment boasted a single strap detail with a low-cut neckline that displayed her cleavage. Its skintight fit wrapped around her body, accentuating her every curve. The hem was long, and it obscured even her shoes.

Perry had been a blond for quite some time now, but for a special occasion, she ditched her golden locks for a darker hair color. The musician has changed her hairstyle and color over the years, but her black hair has always been iconic.

The "I Kissed A Girl" hitmaker accessorized with a long pearl necklace that cascaded down the front of her dress and a ring. She opted for a glamorous makeup look that enhanced her beautiful features and had her locks styled in a sleek high bun, leaving a few tendrils of hair over her ears.

Perry struck several poses in the pictures with one showing her leaning over a grand piano. She also added a video showcasing her look for the night. In two other clips, the singer gave fans a peek at her hair transformation done by hairstylist Rick Henry.

In the caption, Perry revealed that she was attending the 2021 CMA Awards on Wednesday night.

A number of Perry's 140 million Instagram followers were quick to compliment her new look.

"It’s giving LEGACY elegance," wrote one fan.

In less than 10 hours, the share accrued more than 840,000 likes.

Earlier this month, the "Hot N Cold" songstress uploaded a video featuring herself with short blonde hair while wearing a crisp, white top, followed by her dark tresses as she rocked a red number. She then changed into a flowy yellow dress while debuting longer, lighter locks that were wavy. In the last segment, Perry, dressed in a blue top with long sleeves, showcased her brunette locks in a blunt bob cut.

"Choose ur player: what color would you choose? ?❤️??⁉️" Perry captioned the post.

Her partner Orlando Bloom's ex-wife Miranda Kerr was clearly smitten by her looks that she commented with a white heart emoji.

Meanwhile, plenty of fans told her they preferred the "black hair," and she listened. Others also told her that she looked gorgeous in all hair colors.
