Actress and notorious Donald Trump critic Bette Midler has accused the president of lying about testing negative for coronavirus.

Midler has not been shy about posting her political opinions on social media, especially her very critical views of the Trump administration.

The singer and actress has always been politically-motivated by supporting causes such as the Adopt-a-Highway and New York Restoration Project.

The pop icon has sold over 30 million records worldwide, winning three Grammy Awards, four Golden Globes, three Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award.

As the world continues to deal with the growing COVID-19 outbreak, White House physician Dr. Sean Conley released a statement to the public stating that President Trump has been tested negative for the virus despite coming in contact with a few people who have the deadly virus.

Initially, the president refused to be tested and downplayed the virus's seriousness despite the public's concern over his contact with foreign diplomats as well as several senators going into self-quarantine after having the same experience.

Midler, however, was not convinced of Dr. Conley's diagnosis and took to Twitter to question the tenacity of his statement.

“You know, #Donald says he has tested negative for #Coronavirus. But why should we believe him? He has lied over 16,000 times in the last three years! Why would he not be lying now?” the star wrote.

The entertainer has become part of a growing chorus of people casting doubt on the President's result as well as his handling of the situation.

Milder's numbers most likely came from The Washington Post’s running fact-check. The pop icon has been disputing the claim made by Dr. Conley's statement.

"Last night after an in-depth discussion with the President regarding COVID-19 testing, he elected to proceed," the release read. "This evening I received confirmation that the test is negative."

"One week after having dinner with the Brazilian delegation in Mar-a-Lago, the President remains symptom-free," Dr. Conley added. "I have been in daily contact with the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention] and White House Coronavirus Task Force, and we are encouraging the implementation of all their best practices for exposure reduction and transmission mitigation."

The outbreak has been a sore spot for many, including Midler. She took her disdain for the President even further by pinning a tweet to her profile with a quote that Trump gave during a press conference.

The quote comes from Trump declining to take any responsibility for its spread.

"I don't take any responsibility at all...Donald Trump," Midler wrote on Twitter.

Along with Milder, King of Suspense Stephen King questioned the results as well as Trump's intelligence, with many agreeing with him.
