The Kardashians and Jenners have always been known to cause controversy. And apparently that remains a constant even in the middle of a pandemic. Several members of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians cast have been criticized for their behavior during the COVID-19 outbreak.
It looks as though the Kardashian/Jenner family is finally starting to take the outbreak a little bit more seriously … to the point that matriarch Kris Jenner actually went through the trouble to take a test for the novel Coronavirus.
Kylie Jenner angered many with one of her recent Instagram posts. While the world has been putting itself in self-quarantine and the CDC has been urging people to wash their hands and keep their hands away from their face, Kylie decided to flout all the rules for the sake of the ‘gram.
In her photoshoot, Kylie poses at her Kylie Cosmetics headquarters. Her feet thrown up on a table, leaning on a stylish chair … and Kylie just so happened to be sucking on her finger. A decision that upset many who thought the makeup mogul was not taking the virus seriously enough.
In another controversial move, Kim Kardashian West shared a message posted by Kourtney Kardashian in the family group chat. The Kardashian/Jenner group chat is basically a thing of legend. But fans weren’t impressed this time.
According to Kim, Kourt posted a popular social media post that claims psychic Sylvia Brown predicted COVID-19 in 2008. While sales for the book reportedly surged after Kim shared a screenshot of the family chat, many accused her and Kourtney of spreading misinformation about the deadly virus.

After sparking so much backlash, the Kardashians seem to have finally figured out the severity of the pandemic. They have now started sharing safety tips to try to avoid COVID-19, along with their personal self-quarantine plans.
Kim posted a video where she spoke about hand-washing and not rubbing elbows after coughing into them. Kourtney shared a photo of a large, flatscreen TV taken from her bed. In the caption, she asked fans for film recommendations to see her through this time.
Kris’ test thankfully came back negative, she does not have the Coronavirus — more properly known as COVID-19. While Kris was not showing any symptoms, she was able to take a test because she had come into contact with someone who had been confirmed to have contracted the virus.
Other celebrities, like Idris Elba and Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, have also taken the tests only to learn that they had actually contracted the virus. So, it’s a good thing the KUWTK starts are cracking down.
