Bethenny Frankel swings into action to help Astroworld’s youngest victim.
While everyone is slowly trying to heal from the Astroworld tragedy, peace seems to be far-fetched for Travis Scott as more victims are coming to light.
As reported by PEOPLE, the youngest casualty of the unfortunate incident is a 9-year-old boy named Ezra Blount. The poor boy was severely injured during the Houston event that killed 8 people and wounded hundreds.
Ezra’s distraught family created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the boy’s medical bills, and this caught the attention of the “Bethenny Ever After” star.
Bethenny Frankel Is Using Her Foundation To Help Astroworld’s Youngest Victim
Aside from being a TV personality, Frankel is famous for her charitable heart. The 51-year-old founder of the disaster relief initiative, BStrong, recently revealed her plans to help Astroworld’s Youngest Victim.
The “The Real Housewives Of New York City” star shared the news via a video on her Instagram story. Upon finding out about Ezra’s condition, the entertainer immediately offered to help.
Although her foundation only helps people with the homeless crisis, the former “Bethenny” host explained that the organization’s priorities have changed for the 9-year-old boy.
Therefore BStrong shall be helping the Blount family with a donation of $10,000. The foundation was also providing aid by imploring others to donate to Ezra’s recovery on their website.
In a recent tweet, the “Bethenny Ever After” star revealed that BStrong was established in Houston after Hurricane Harvey. This was the second reason for Frankel’s involvement in the unfortunate incident.
In a second tweet, the mother-of-one expressed her heartache over the tragedy as she wished to change the course of events. Her message partly read:
“I was up all night thinking about those poor children (someone’s babies) at that concert. It’s so tragic….when something so unnecessary could have been avoided.”
Current Status Of The Young Astroworld Victim
The Blast has been keeping tabs on the Astroworld incident and the subsequent drama that followed. On the topic of Ezra’s condition, the “Goosebumps” crooner is facing another negligence lawsuit.
The 9-year-old boy’s family is fighting against Scott and Live Nation for failing to prioritize the safety of concertgoers.
The crowd allegedly became unruly before the stampede occurred, but nothing was done to stop the chaos.
Ezra is currently in a medically induced coma with only a life support machine keeping him tethered to this world. The poor boy was almost trampled to death during the massive surge.
The damages he received affected his liver, kidney, and brain. If the child manages to pull through, his family feared the 9-year-old would be impaired for life.
How Travis Scott Has Responded To His Concert’s Victims
The Blast previously reported that the “SICKO MODE” rapper has agreed to aid Astroworld’s victims by paying for their funeral expenses.
The father-of-one has been facing backlash for not stopping the concert despite the unruly state of the crowd. However, the Houston native claimed he wasn’t aware of the dire situation.
Perhaps as a way of easing his conscience, the 30-year-old will not only be paying for funeral costs, but he will also provide free mental help services through his partnership with BetterHelp.
In addition, the “Highest In The Room” crooner shall refund everyone who attended the unfortunate music festival on November 5.
