'90 Day Fiance'star Big Ed is taking the big plunge after asking his co-star -- Liz Woods -- to marry him!
The reality star confirmed the engagement this week, teasing that the couple's process of getting reconnected will be featured on the upcoming Season 2 of '90 Day: The Single Life.' As you know, the duo sparked rumors of an engagement back in September, when they were spotted in Santa Barbara, CA -- with Woods sporting a giant diamond ring on THAT finger.
"About a month before we got back together, I realized that I really didn’t appreciate who she was and I don’t want to love anybody else," Big Ed told People.
He continued, "And never in a million years did I think that I would ever be together with Liz — it’s just surreal." Adding, "I couldn’t be happier. I know in my heart that she’s my forever, and that’s all I need to know. I don’t want to be with anybody else, I don’t want to think about anybody else."
Big Ed Teased Upcoming '90 Day' Season For Details Of Engagement!
Of course, like a seasoned reality star, Ed 'Big Ed' Brown teased the details of the engagement, so that fans will have to watch the upcoming season to see what really goes down! "You’re going to have to tune in to see what happened, but it turned out to be a beautiful moment," he said. It should be noted, the couple met at a restaurant, and signed on to showcase their relationship for the upcoming season of the reality show.
The newly engaged couple has had a rocky relationship up until this point and has been "volatile" at times. Specifically, the duo took part in an explosive "Tell-All" special that aired on the reality show -- which exposed some of the issues. Obviously, they have patched things up since that moment.
"I wasn't a good person, I wasn't a good boyfriend," Ed told the outlet. Adding, "I didn't treat Liz like she deserved to be treated. I wasn't a good listener. That was all about me -- I was so consumed with [myself]." As for Woods, she admitted that after initial break-up she went through a rough patch, saying, "I struggled a lot when we broke up — I went through a really bad depression stage."
'90 Day Fiance' Couple Reconnected Over The Death Of Big Ed's Dog
Tragically, the two reconnected after Liz reached out to Big Ed following the death of his beloved dog, Teddy. Following the conversation, Ed invited Woods to dinner, and the rest is history.
If you are a fan of the show, you know that prior to dating Liz Woods -- Brown appeared on Season 4 of TLC's '90 Day Fiance, and was engaged to another fellow co-star, Rosemarie 'Rose' Vega. But, Big Ed's treatment of his fiancee was questionable and made for controversial moments on the show.
At the time, Big Ed failed to reveal his vasectomy to his partner and asked her to get an STD test -- which resulted in their break-up.
