Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson were some of the first celebrities to come out to the public after being diagnosed with COVID-19, the current Coronavirus that is bringing the world to a stop. While the media has hyped the virus to massive panic, Hanks and Wilson shared what the real experience is like for healthy individuals. They also urged the public to be considerate of social interactions that may transmit the illness to those who may not be healthy enough to combat it.

In their first post, Tom Hanks explains, “To play things right, as is needed in the world right now, we were tested for the Coronavirus and were found to be positive . . . What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed.”
The couple went on to update us over the last few days and even posted a picture showing them relatively healthy but still urging, “There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?”

Though Tom Hanks, Rita, and son Chet have stayed positive about the situation, but their oldest son Colin has had much to say on the situation against President Trump and how America has responded to the COVID-19 outbreak, now trending with #coronapocolypse.
Fans of Rita, Tom, and Colin have been somewhat vocal about how they feel about their family’s response to the illness; emotions have been mixed. One fan wrote, “I know people generally rebel against their parents in weird ways… but when this is all over I’m gonna need a 10-Part documentary series about how exactly Tom Hanks fathered both Chet Hanks and Colin Hanks.”

While Chet Hanks has had a few teen movies, you may recall that Colin Hanks has had a very vast career outside of his parents, starring in movies such as “Orange County”, “King Kong”, and “House Bunny”. He has a very significant fan base and chose to respond to his parents’ updates with tweets such as, “While the #coronavirus out break was happening this is how the President chose to spend his time.”
He also continued on to retweet posts from other critics of President Trump.

While some posts clearly showed his opposition, Colin was also able to lighten up after Chet’s posts. He was even able to poke some fun Tweeting a screenshot from a Batman film with the caption, “Once newscasters start looking like this, we will know things have gotten real bad. And that The Joker is actually responsible. Keep washing those hands.”
Aside from Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, multiple celebrities, athletes, and government officials are revealing their COVID-19 status – all are urging social isolation.
