This past week, America's Got Talent judge and former international supermodel, Heidi Klum, announced that she was stepping back temporarily from her role on the hit show due to feeling unwell.

Other judges on the panel including Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, and Howie Mandel claimed that Klum was taking a break due to a bout of food poisoning. Well, that no longer seems to be the case, as Klum has recently shared that she's suffering from 'coronavirus-like' symptoms. There's just one problem, though. She has no way to find out if she's positive for the COVID-19 strain.

Just recently, Klum posted a story to her Instagram account showing the model in her bed with a groggy voice while attempting to update fans on social media about her status

"It started with a chill, feeling feverish, cough, runny rose… um I’m just not feeling good. So, that’s why I’ve stayed home [from AGT] not to infect anyone. Despite having some of the symptoms of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19," she began in her video.

Klum went on to explain that she hasn't been able to determine if she's positive for the coronavirus due to drastic test kit shortages in the country.

"I hope it’s just a cold," the Project Runway host continued. "I would love to do the corona[virus] test but there just isn’t one here. I’ve tried with two different doctors and I just can’t get one. Stay safe everyone. Stay home if you don’t feel good."

America's Got Talent has followed suit with many of the live shows that are taped in New York City and Hollywood by opting to continue with production, but no audience in attendance. AGT made this announcement on March 12.

Klum is not the only celebrity to have possibly contracted the coronavirus. Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, both have confirmed that they're both fighting the illness and have self-quarantined themselves from the public.

And although many people on social media were deeply concerned for the couple's wellbeing, Hanks finally broke his silence since contracting the viral strain and shared that they're both doing fine and intend to ride it out.

"Hello folks. Rita Wilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us. We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else," the actor tweeted out to fans.

"There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no?" he continued.

Other people are experiencing similar mild symptoms, but thus far, there have been approximately 50 confirmed deaths in the United States. President Donald Trump is set to declare a state of emergency as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, which will release funding for state and local governments to fight the spread.
