Green Bay Quarterback Aaron Rodgerswore a “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” sweatshirt on his latest appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” and fans are not having it.

The third installment of the film franchise has been highly criticized by “Star Wars” fans. Although the 2019 film was less controversial than its predecessor, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” many fans felt it was an inadequate ending to the Skywalker Saga, especially since it lacked an appearance from Anakin Skywalker or Darth Vader.

Since the actor behind those roles, Hayden Christensen, seemed more than willing to return to close out the trilogy, the fact that he did not appear left a sour taste in the mouths of many fans, especially since Christensen is returning to reprise his role in the Disney+ live-action series “Kenobi” with Ewan McGregor and “Ahsoka” with Rosario Dawson.

In the latest episode of “The Pat McAfee Show,” Rodgers appeared wearing a “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” hoodie and fans couldn’t hold back.

Fans Had Savage Words For Aaron Rodgers

“Rise of Skywalker” began trending on Tuesday night when Rodgers was spotted wearing a shirt with the film’s logo.

“If anything exemplifies a man with poor judgement, it's wearing a Rise of Skywalker hoodie in public,” one fan tweeted.

“State Farm: ‘We are officially severing ties with Aaron Rodgers. We could handle the antivaxx stuff, but coming out in favor of The Rise of Skywalker was a bridge too far,’” another joked, although another fan couldn’t help but comment “The Last Jedi was so much worse though.”

“what sort of complete degenerate is wearing Rise of Skywalker merch in public?” another fan asked. “Truly satanic behavior.”

Another added, “He had to go and drag Star Wars into this. Star Wars doesn't deserve this. Not even Rise of Skywalker. D--- move, bro.”

As one fan pointed out, “The irony of Rodgers wearing a t-shirt with Doc Holliday's image, a man that died at 36 from a communicable disease that affects the lungs, tuberculosis.”

Earlier today, an inside source allegedly told People that Rodgers "feels like he just shared his point of view, and now he's being crucified for it."

"He's upset. He's very unhappy with the response to him,” the insider allegedly said, adding, “He knew some people would disagree with him, but he didn't know that it would become the s---storm it became.”

His vaccine controversy has led to him being shunned by fellow athletes, comedians, and “Jeopardy!” fans. It seems that Rodgers has now eliminated “Star Wars” fans from his pool of supporters as well.
