Ben was recently spotted enjoying what appeared to be a romantic date with Ana out in Havana, Cuba, with photos of their romantic getaway trip later surfacing online. It’s unclear how long the doting duo have been seeing one another, but given that they reportedly met on the set of their upcoming thriller “Deep Blue,” it would seem their relationship is still fairly new.
Whatever the case may be, Jennifer certainly isn’t trying to stand in Ben’s way, with insiders telling Hollywood Life that the “Elektra” actress has no bad feelings about Affleck’s new romance with Armas.
In fact, the mother-of-three is said to be happy that her ex has found someone new, given that there was no chance of a reconciliation between the former Hollywood couple, who finalized their divorce in October 2018.
“When it comes to people that Ben may or may not be dating, Jen’s attitude is different at all stages of a relationship that Ben will have,” a source explained. “If he is dating and having fun, she’s OK with it, she really doesn’t have any say in any of that.”
Working on his forthcoming film with Ana changed Ben for the better, reports claim, who say that Garner isn’t trying to stand in the Oscar winner’s way of finding happiness, so long as their three children: Violet, 14, Seraphina 11, and Samuel, 8, aren’t dragged in the mix of things.
Ben won’t introduce Ana to his kids until he’s certain that they’ll stay together, but it’s still too early to tell at this point. He’s not making any drastic decisions, nor does he plan on having his girlfriend around his children anytime soon – Ben is simply taking things one step at a time.
The source adds that Jennifer and Ben are both careful with the people they bring around their kids because they wouldn’t want to confuse them by meeting someone who quite possibly won’t be around for long, which seemed to have been the case with Ben’s ex-girlfriend Lindsay Shookus.
They shared an on-again, off-again romance for a year before deciding to call it quits for good in 2018. While Ben’s issues with alcohol reportedly led to their first split, the “Saturday Night Live” producer, who resides in New York, found it difficult flying back and forth to Los Angeles when her work commitments were all based in the Big Apple.
Ben continues to share a close bond with Jennifer and they’re very honest with each other when it comes to their dating life, which is why the “Butter” star isn’t worried about her kids one bit.
“Ben is very upfront with all that to Jen though and there really isn’t any surprises, so if Ana becomes or is becoming something special and more than co-stars than they will cross those paths when they cross them.”
“She will be vetted because Jen’s kids are her world and she wants to make sure that Ben is with someone that is not only right for Ben but her kids since they would be always around each other.”
“Deep Water” hits theatres nationwide on November 13.
