A lot of people wonder where Jaden and Willow Smith get all of their “creative” ideas. Many of the things that the Smith kids started doing didn’t necessarily fall on brand with their father’s persona as the Fresh Prince. So, it must be Jada’s fault right? The more and more Jada and Will share about their relationship the more Will Smith fans get concerned about the fact that she’s pretty toxic for him. With this latest story, though, that’s come out of the Will Smith autobiography, which by the way is out this Tuesday, we can confirm … we’ve lost Will Smith!
The Men in Black star details in a part of his book a story about multiple “trips” that he had on ayahuasca. Back in 2011 after temporarily calling it quits with Jada, Will sought out the help of a shaman. This person gave Smith psychotropic tea. Essentially this part of the book is literally Will Smith describing what he saw when he was “trippin”. We’ve also reported that Will revealed in the book he thought about killing his father at one point. From what we’ve been able to read in the book we can neither confirm nor deny that these stories are related in any way!
Tales From Will Smith’s Ayahuasca Trip
In his book Will Smith takes readers down the rabbit hole as he details his personal experiences after drinking this tea from the shaman. Will recalls that about an hour into the first experience he was floating deep in outer space and trillions of miles away from earth. This is when he had his first encounter with what he called, “an unseeable woman” which he called mother. What Smith learned from the trip was apparently as he puts it,
“If I’m this beautiful, I don’t need #1 movies to feel good about myself. If I’m this beautiful, I don’t need hit records to feel worthy of love. If I’m this beautiful, I don’t need Jada or anyone else to validate me.”
This is potentially the exact moment that he decided he wanted to do “After Earth” with his son Jaden!
What Actually Led Will To The Ayahuasca Trip?
Since we are talking about drug trips not making the story linear makes a ton of sense. If you are thinking, “what happened that was so bad that Will Smith literally decided to go drink a tea from a non licensed medical professional?”, we can let you know it was real bad. Essentially Will at the time had planned a massive 3-day birthday bash for Jada’s 40th birthday. He reveals that on the first night they had a dinner serenaded by Mary J Blige. Afterward though there wasn’t even a thank you from Jada. Instead, she yelled at him to cancel the plans for the weekend. Smith recalls that was the moment that he decided to call it quits ultimately telling Jada,
“I retire. I retire from trying to make you happy … I quit — you go do you, and I’m-a go do me.”
The Current State of The Marriage Between Will & Jada
Apparently after Will got back from his trip to outer space the couple talked and came up with the plan to stay together, but in a less monogamous relationship. It sounds good on paper, but Will Smith’s face on the Red Table Talk when Jada confessed her infidelity was not one of joy. Will Smith’s book “Will” is out this Tuesday. Apparently what readers will get to see is a side of a Will that wasn’t necessarily born in West Philadelphia.
